Events

Please try to make events for as many different countries as possible. We have many events for some countries, and none for alot of others. So please add events for Belarus and Kenya, none of them have any. (i think :rolleyes: )

Make only important ones, we don't need "our country have been in the world-cup and finished 27th!"-events. If a country ends up with too many flavor events, they will be excluded. (the events, not the country ;))
 
Scripting

Please make sure that your scripting (events etc.) are correct.
So far it's only events.
It's a devil to edit a bunch of events when we gather them, and add them to their apropriate file/text.

I suggest if you're unsure, copy an event (or leaderfile, etc.) made by people you know do it right (Lars, Kyran Phillip V are good examples) and edit the name, effects, stats etc.

Questions goes in the questions answered here thread. Maybe in another thread, but NEVER open a new thread for the porpose of asking questions. Thanks

"Events" threads

It's ok to open a "japanese events" thread, but only for discussions and suggestions of events. If you want the events to be added in the game, post them in their respectful threads. Such as Japanese events goes to the "events; Eastern Asia" thread.

Oil

We have decided a long time ago that oil will not be a resource in the game, oil will be represented with high taxvalues so that we can remove the income when the oil runs out.

Beta 5.0

Beta 5.0 will be out the next week, hopefully tuesday but probobly wednesday.

This time the beta will be made for playing, forts and such added. We will also have most of the events in it.

If anyone is going away for a weekend or something, please let us know. So that we can i.e guess more precisly when beta's etc will be released.

It is not forbidden to open new threads. Besides we dont has the power to stop you either. But we can ask firmly you to follow our rules. I created a little list that I hope the crew can look over and if it is good I hope people will follow it.

(Rememer this is just an suggesstion)
1. Dont open a new thread with the same subject as a allready excisting thread.(Obvious isn't it?:D)

2. Dont open a thread to complain, come with event suggestions or anything else that could be done better in other threads.

3. Pls dont create threads there you make changes to the scenario. We like to have discusion before we change anything not after. Of obvious reasons. I dont see any problems in creating your own scenarios with names like "the third world war" and so on that is based on our mod, if you credit us:D. Ones again I dont think we have the power to do something, but we ask you gently.

I hope I didnt scared you:D
 
MDS for HoI

Alot of people asks this question: "Why not make MDS for HoI?"

The answer is no. There are several reasons for it. HoI have a lack of Tag's, the time's too slow (playing two centuries with the timescale going one hour at the time will take alot of time;)). Besides, EU2 is more popular, there are alot of people that have EU2, and not HoI, that have waited for this Mod.

Therefore, there will not be a MDS for HoI at the moment. But one day maybe...;)

Governments

Goverments (Religions) have been a hot discussion theme. But there hasn't been close to any list agreeable, so we stick with the one that Birger Jarl made to us.

Please, do not put up a complaining thread, do it in one of the threads if you have to complain (The "Questions answered here"-thread).

The Government list is:


Protestant - Republic
Reformed - Parliamentary Democracy
C-R Catholism - Socialism Communism
Catholism - Communism Socialism
Orthodoxy - Constitutional Monarchy
Sunni Islam - Christian Dictatorship
Shiite Islam - Moslem Dictatorship
Paganism - Anarchy
Confucianism - Fascism
Buddhism - Theocratic Republic
Hinduism - Absolute Monarchy

As you can see in red, those should be switched, as Communism is more extreme than Socialism. But we need one that's handy with Graphics to do that, I'll take care of it.;)
