Anexing a enemy satellite

I'm puzzled by this. They can't made separate peace, I can't annex all their provinces and I know that if they became my satellite that's impossible too. Is there any way to do this, even by editing the save game?

And another question. Is it possible too release nations?

You can ask for those provinces in a peace deal, however. Assuming you have conquered all those cities/forts in said satellite. As far as I can tell this is the only method to own these provinces. Of course you can also request these provinces to be your satellite in a peace deal. You need sufficient war score to accomplish either.

The problem is that I can't ask for all the provinces in the peace deal. And no, it's not because of the score, the provinces grey out and its impossible to select.

The only way to do this is to get all their provinces except the capital in one war and then you can ask for the capital in the next.

Get the current owner of the country to release the satilite when demanding terms
