My personal favorite are Afro-American POPs in New England supporting slavery two decades after the Civil War ended and having high militancy as a result.

There are some problems in the POP issues scripts, I think.

When I played as the USA, I did not get the Civil War until 1873. I think it was because only 10% of the population wanted slavery abolished, while many more of my population were pro-slavery.
