Should it say YHRS?

I de- and reinstalled my game to check that.

Before I installed in the order FtG, FtG 1.1, FtG 1.2, FtG 1.3 (June), FtG hotfix, AGCEEP 1.59b4, AGCEEP hotfix.

Now I installed in the order FtG, FtG 1.1, FtG 1.2, AGCEEP 1.59b4, AGCEEP hotfix, FtG 1.3 and FtG hotfix - and the checksum now is YHRS for me too.

Which I find strange as I thought the checksum should give a value for the files installed regardless of the order in which installed as the FtG 1.3 patches don´t overwrite anything in the mod/AGCEEP folder.

If you've patched up to 1.3b, you only need to install the AGCEEP hotfix. Checksum is YHRS.

How could that be when only an old version of AGCEEP comes with FtG and the hotfix does not contain the whole AGCEEP mod?

In fact the AGCEEP 'hotfix' (the filename is AGCEEP159b4_hotfix.zip with size 23.16MB) contains the whole AGCEEP mod. It's best to delete the original AGCEEP mod that comes with FTG before extracting (so that any redundant files are deleted).

You´re right. I looked at the hotfix and the "hotfix" really is larger than the 1.59b4 version of AGCEEP - which makes me wonder why it´s called hotfix. That mistakenly implied to me that it would contain only a small additional change...

Should Saxony (SAC) be removed from those?
In November 1422 SAC has an event that triggers it´s inheritance by Meissen (MEI). As it´s not possible that an AI state inherits a player controlled state that inheritance command does not work when SAC is player controlled.

The current trigger means that the event only fires if Brandenburg AND Meissen both exist. IMO that makes no sense - the Askanians as a family ruling Saxony would have died out even if in a game the state of Brandenburg or Meissen would have vanished. So I suggest either to remove the trigger completely (so that the event fires simply on that date always when the last Askanian dies or perhaps have the event fire simply on that day and make the actions depending on the existance of the states? e.g. action a only when MEI exists, B only when BRA exists?

Saxonys event has it´s historical inheritance by Meissen in choice A, inheritance by Brandenburg in choice B and the diehard independence in choice C. IMO the same commands to grant independance to the surrounding states that are used in option a should be used in option b too, because Brandenburg shouldn´t get all of those possible provinces just as Meissen shouldn´t.
When Meissen inherits Saxony then Meissens relations with Brandenburg are lowered by -50 in the triggered event 319000. When Saxony choses C to stay independant then it should suffer that penalty too. In Choice C the event gives - 100 relations with SAC - so to itself. I assume it should be -100 to MEI.

The last step in this process was the extinction of the electoral branch in Saxony-Wittenberg with the heirless death of Albrecht III. The b choice in the saxon event triggers the ahistorical inheritance of Saxony by Brandenburg. As this is the ahistorical choice I suggest to change the national core to a claimcore and the inheritance to an annex command (which destroys saxony´s army so that Brandenburg won´t get them and which gives BRA not 0,25 but 1 BadBoy point:

Regency problem:

When Friedrich IV (of Tyrol) died his son was still a 12year old minor and his uncle Friedrich III of Austria (Friedrich V as Emperor of the HRE) became regent for Tyrol.

The current event that makes Friedrich III/V the regent can currently already fire at a time where Friedrich IV is still alive (he died historically on the 24th June 1439) and it can fire before Friedrich V/III even rules (because currently Friedrich V/III ascends to the throne of Austria after Albrecht V´s death in Octobre 1439).

I suggest to move the start date back to the historical deathdate of Friedrich IV. As the time span then becomes narrower the offset should be smaller too.

Code:

I don´t understand the added trigger in event MEI 319002.

The option B had MEI inherit SAC in case that SAC would exist outside the normal provinces (e.g. by conquering a province and a rebellion moving the capital) to get back to the historical flow of events.

However the new trigger that SAC does not exist makes that inheritance command useless.

Code:

For 20 years, they cooperated very well, conducted successful administrative, commercial and territorial reforms and led their country to prosperity. However, the heirless death of Wilhelm of Thuringia in 1480 sparked a quarrel between the two about who would rule Thuringia, also some differences about the government of Saxony emerged then. Eventually, Ernst, the elder who had the electoral title, was fed up with this and decided, against the resistance of the Saxonian estates, to partition all Wettin territories between him and his brother. On August 26th 1485 the partition was sealed in Leipzig, granting the Margraviate of Meissen and a small part of Thuringia to Albrecht and the rest, including the electorate, to Ernst. This division between the Ernestine and the Albertine branch of the Wettin dynasty turned out to be a perpetual one and their territories were never again entirely united.

Edit: And I don´t understand the death date of the event. When the event is about the partition of Leipzig between Ernst and Albrecht then it should happen during their lifetime. However Ernst died 26.08.1486
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest,_Elector_of_Saxony

I suggest to change the death date of the partition event to the death of Ernst. The description makes no sense if it would happen later when Ernst already is dead and Friedrich III rules Saxony.

Well, I managed to mod a little bit of AGCEEP, and although I have done a lot as on me, I will show suggestions little by little. For example, I merged Maximilian's residence events. #-#Having inherited Tyrol from the childless Sigismund, Maximilian instantly fell in love with the country and the city of Innsbruck. He called it 'a peasant's garb that keeps me warm'. The mountains, the abundance of game and the beautiful nature always attracted him to Tyrol where he used to hunt or go climbing in the Alps. Innsbruck became the center of his Empire and his new administrative institutions. It was also turned into a center of arts, with the painter Albrecht Dürer, the moulders Stefan Godl, Peter Fischer and Peter Löffler and the architect and sculptor Nikolaus Türing working there for the emperor. Trade between Italy and Germany was directed through Innsbruck, which became also the economic center of Austria and Southern Germany. Exploiting the vast iron resources of Tyrol, cannons and other weapons were produced in the new gun foundries in Mühlau and Büchsenhausen. The arsenal in Sill near Innsbruck became the one of the biggest in Europe.

Just thinking about your merge of the capital choice events. when you use the new option to make the actions dependant on the ownership of the province, is then the whole trigger still necessary?

You have 4 AND checks in the OR trigger checking for every combination of ownership of province, just like the old 5 events had combined.

However the event can, because of the action triggers work even if only 1 of the provinces is owned.

How about an OR trigger that has 4 AND in it, but every AND contains only ownership and control of 1 of the provinces?

There are two ways to put a trigger in options: еhe first relates to the whole option, it is logically needed to keep the province-related commands from flying into the void. The second relates to the some command. I can give you an example from AUStria (179156), where claims to Lombardia can be made if we're emperor.

The initial event chain required to own/control of at least 3 provinces, that makes sense, considering that after inheriting Tyrol you can't create him as vassal, and in 95% of cases AUS have two of the three provs. I tried this for Austria with two provinces (350, 351), while conquering Steiermark as Tirol, and the event doesn't fire.
