This bugfix is an attempt to fix obvious bugs in the 1066 scenario (grand campaign). It also attempts to create a more historical starting position by modifying the starting dynasties and political setup.

Current version is v6. It should work with both patch 1.04a and 1.04b. History of changes:

v6:

- some changes (characters and culture) in England, Brittany, Nubia, France
- fiddled with Iberian setup some more
- various small fixes and changes to the scenario

v5:

- added claims for Iberian taifas on each other
- updated Sweden, Denmark, and Hungary per Paradox 1.04a scenario
- more technologies added to Georgia, Cumans, Pechenegs, Alans, Nubia
- raised base income in Nubia to better represent its wealth
- made Alania and Bolgar into kingdoms
- fiddled some more with Byzantine succession, now Alexios Komnenos and Romanos Diogenes tend to compete for first spot
- some more changes in Caucasus, Trapezous, Cilicia
- some more character-related bugfixes

v4.5:

- corrected some more bugs with characters
- corrected some province incomes
- corrected some world names
- corrected type of army and claim ids so they won't conflict with character ids
- incorporated some patch 1.04a changes (provinces, dynasties)

v4:

- reworked Muslim Mesopotamia, Holy Land, Egypt, Persia, Central Asia, North Africa for more historical setup; took most Muslim-specific tags (Mxxx) into use.
- some additional Byzantine changes (new non-elective aristocratic families as princes: Phokas, Bourtzes, Kurkuas, Argyros, Skleros, Gabras); also cleaned up and corrected the Emperors' genealogies
- added changes by Chris Wilkinson in Caucasus (Georgia, Alania, Armenia) and northern Persia (Azerbaijan, Dailam, Mazandaran)
- finished Scandinavian changes (Swedish royal family, civil war)
- added changes and corrections in France (some dynasty corrections, new counts in Albret, Labourd, Rouergue)
- corrected the dynasty of Volga Bulgaria
- added changes in England (including new counties)
- changed the Iberian taifas for a more historical setup
- some starting tech changes (removed military tech from Iberian taifas, added some level 1 military techs in Iberian royal capitals).

v3:

- added Italian changes
- major character and realm overhaul in Ireland and Wales
- added Provence changes
- added German changes
- added some Seljuk changes
- province terrain and culture changes in Britain, southern France, the Maghreb, and northern Persia/Mesopotamia
- various base income changes
- implemented Gratianus' port, city, and army map position fix
- miscellaneous character fixes and changes (added educations where needed, removed unnecessary score lines)

v2:

- added Serbian and Croatian changes
- added some English and Irish character changes
- added some starting alliances and wars
- added Byzantine character changes as well as a count of Bari
- added some Scandinavian changes
- added some Hungarian changes
- added some Polish changes
- added two new German counts (Adalbert Askanien in Plauen, Friedrich Hohenzollern in Schwaben)
- some changes in Southern Italy
- miscellaneous character fixes and changes (Georgia, Byzantium, Germany, France)
- added some new dynasties
- added claims

v1:

- edited claimable duchy and kingdom borders
- edited some duchy, kingdom, and province names
- edited some base province income values
- added Bohemian changes
- added dynastic and political Rus changes
- added steppe changes (Cuman, Volga, Ural)
- miscellaneous small fixes

The bugfix is being worked on in its own subforum:

I do not know if you changed or looked into this Solmyr, but one fix to make the Seljuks more a threat to the byzantines that is justified is to give the Seljuks 3 or 4 of the most easterly byzantine provinces (basically byzantine armenia) as the byzantines lost control of this area prior to 1066. In fact in antoher thread I detailed how the turks sieged and captured and repopulated Ani in 1064/65 (it starts the game out as byzantine)... I think the starting setup completely misrepresents the type of control the byzantines held over eastern anatolia.

anyway when I stop trying the beta patches I will defintely use you fix as the other changes look really good :)

The Seljuks actually conquer Armenia and eastern Anatolia quite fast in the bugfix. ;)
