New Icons (Land units and airunits)

I made a lot of new graphics

All Infantry, Mot, mech, HQ, marine, mountain, garrison, paras, militia, tanks
for
Germany, Italy, Japan, USA, England, France, Sovietunion, Poland, Hungary, Romania and Australia and many more

Also several air units (USA, England, Germany, Japan and Italy)

Lot of others will follow

I'm still working on other nations and maybe to improve some of them

The most tanks are already posted here and on other forums. I made the missing ones of Japan, Italy, Romania, Hungary and Poland

But this are not animated sprites if you mean them (unfortunatelly ), these are the graphics in the "models" folder.

Already done, mailed Steel a couple of graphics. Will go one for more.
Hopefully, he bring them up soon.

Copy the green fields into the old ones

For example: German Level 2 light tank

Copy it into /gfx/interface/models into the "model_4_1.bmp" and rename it into "GER_model_4_1.bmp"

The problem is: I could give you all the country specific files, but this are up to now over 250 files !!!

Next I send you the mountain, paras and marines.


If someone has better coloured Infantry pictures of partisans, paras and so one, please let me know.

I can chance existing ones if there're better ones in advance

Edit: I also make Finland, Czechoslovakia, China and Canada next

Because off that much work for people to copy all those icons around, is it ok to send you the ready done files, even if they are now 500 ??

I think it's better for all people to just copy them into the "models" folder

With Winzip, they are 700KB at the moment.

Now I'm preparing the following:

1 bmp-file as overview, where all icons (one level) are shown
For every country I made a seperate zip-file, where all icons are included (43 icons each)

Included:
tanks, mot, mech, HQ, infantry, marines, paras, mountain, garrison, militia

This would be:
Germany - ready
Italy - ready
Japan - ready
USA - ready
UK - ready
France - ready
Sovietunion - ready
Australia - ready
Romania - ready
Hungary - ready
Finland - (70% finished, with winter camouflage, ready on monday)
China - (0%, done on monday)
Canada - (0%, done on monday or tuesday)
Tchechoslovakia - (0%, done on monday or tuesday)
Slovakia - (0%, done on tuesday)
Greece - (0%, done on tuesday)
Yugoslavia - (0%, done on tuesday)

Bulgaria, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway
will be finished the days after.

If anybody has some remarks how to improve any of them, please let me know
At the moment, I'm not too happy with the militias, because the normal infantry icons are shown. I think I will rework them later on

Please post here a link for this work. These are some very nice icons, but I'd rather just get the country versions instead of having to do the cut-paste thing in PSP. I have enough to do making my ship icons for HoI2. (They're at Stonyroad.)

If there is a big interest from your side, I will make nearly all related countries. Due to a little unsatifactory from my side concerning some icons, I decided to totally overwork some of the icons.Therefor, I ordered a good book with coloured uniforms of most WWII nations. It will arrive in 3 days.

Please let me know, if there'e some remarks, which are worth thinking of.

I also need some pictures:

Trucks with coloured Sideview from different nations
Coloured picture of "partisans"
Coloured pictures of Cavalry (hard to find nations related ones)

Rest I hope, are in the new ordered book
