There don´t seem to be ethiopian events yet...
I´m not going to script any but might come up with a few ideas, texts and effects. ;)

1)
"Contacts with Europe"
"Since the Dark Ages only rumors of a priest-king in Africa let Europe know of an Ethiopian Empire. There were several European and Ethiopian missions to contact each other. In 1427 Negus Yohannes sent out a pagan and a christian envoy to King Alfons V of Aragon."
flavour event, 1 option "Okay"
trigger: 1427
effect: maybe like a letter of introduction with Aragon

2)
"Zarah Yacob's reign"
"When in 1434 Zarah Yacob rose to the throne his first effort was to strengthen the central rule of the country. The local princes of course weren't very happy with his move..."
flavour event, 1 option "Okay"
trigger 1434
effects: centralization +1, stab -2

3)
"Contacts with Europe"
"Since the Dark Ages only rumors of a priest-king in Africa let Europe know of an Ethiopian Empire. There were several European and Ethiopian missions to contact each other. In 1431 a coptic priest by the name of Thomas visited the Pope and received a few letters."
flavour event, 1 option "Okay"
trigger: 1431
effect: relation with papacy + X

4)
"The Coptic and the Catholic Church" for Papacy and Ethiopia
"On July 6, 1439 the Council of Florence decided to take measures to reunite the Catholic, Byzantine and Coptic churches. An envoy to Ethiopia failed as he wasn't allowed to pass Egypt. Anyways Zarah Yacob seems to have been willing to discuss the matter as he sent out Ethiopian monks with their abbot to visit the Pope. In October 1441 the strange delegates reached Rome."

trigger is the date again
effects? irl it seems that portuguese exploring at the horn of africa has been triggered by this visit...

5)
"The Coptic and the Catholic Church" for Papacy and Ethiopia
"The new ties between the Papacy and Ethiopia furthered hopes in Rome that a new christian ally could help the struggle against the Ottoman Empire. In December 1456 Pope Calixtus III demanded that Ethiopia should help fighting the Turks."
trigger is date again and Ottomans at war.
option a: "How?" ->decline, small minus in relations
option b: "Sure" ->war with Ottomans, relation bonus with christian countries

cool!

6)
"The Islamic Threat" - ETH
"When in 1535 Islamic neighbours once more tried to conquer Ethiopia, Emperor Lebna Dengel sought for outside help in Portugal promising the conversion of his country to Catholicism."
trigger: ETH at war
option a: "Seek for outside help"
effects: trigger 7)
option b: "We don't need help"
no effect

7)
"The Islamic Threat" - POR
"When in 1535 Islamic countries once more tried to conquer Ethiopia, Emperor Lebna Dengel sought for outside help in Portugal promising the conversion of his country to Catholicism."
option a: "Intervene!"
effects: alliance with ETH and war with whoever ETH is at war with?
the historic choice, Portugal sent 400 knights and a few firearms to Ethiopia. Ethiopia was disappointed with this help, especially as the portoguese envoy Bermudez demanded half of Ethiopia, conversion to catholicism and himself the title of the Patriarch. He was imprisoned in the mountains of Efat.
option b: ?
same thing with less demands or maybe there could be a better/bigger form of intervention triggering
8)
in which ETH indeed converts.

Yeah, Ethiopian events have been on the to do list, they just never reach the top...

I must say I do like your events, though something will have to be done to make event 6 more than just so interesting info. What exactly, I'm not quite sure.

Event 7 seems like a nice event if it can be coded to work correctly.

Well, with the right triggers, it can be done. The two main nations that were threatning Ethiopia were Adal and the Ottomans. So really the initial trigger would be Ethiopia at war with Adal or Ottomans, sets that bit off. Of course, that then delves into the fact that we need to get the Ottomans more interested in the region at that point, which can only really be done if they take out the Mams properly...

And a war would most likely happen if you had an event for the Ottoman's sending Grañ those troops. :)
