Good, you are advancing and now you have got a new ally with Byelorussia being released from the shackles of communism. :D The latest update is very positive indeed, I feel like I kinda have to prepare myself for disaster while Im awaiting the next. :p

:D Your post made me smile.

Im quite happy with Byelorussia, they are a sizeable ally right on the front. I will have to check their IC and keep an eye on what they get up to.

Thanks for the new map. I was about to refresh my page because I assumed that picture must not have loaded :eek:o

I checked it myself and realized one of the screenshots had become a red x, i corrected as soon as i noticed. :)

Love the update, I've been reading this AAR from nearly the beginning, and it's taken me this long to register and say how groovy your AAR is! (I don't even own this game, I just like Alternative History...) :D

It is quite an honour for me and credit to the AAR that you registered to voice your appreciation of the AAR. There was one other poster who said they did the same [some pages back]. Nice to know you are enjoying it, i feel you will enjoy the ride and the many twists and turns that may or may not happen ;)

I join this aar. Good luck

Its always nice to see a new reader enjoying the AAR.

Thanks for reading everyone, im back at University now and that is to blame for the delay in updates. I am now back on campus, so i will not be able to update until friday at the earliest. This is why i updated twice today, i start missing the AAR and all of you as it is so much fun to write and know others enjoy it.

Germany usually tends to give exp. forces to France to man the maginot line. Mil con frg if you want them to do anything.

He Who Does Not Punish Evil....

Despite the thousands of British troops that have died, in nations all across Europe, we must see this Epic war through to the end. Young men of nations Allied and enemy have died in horrific numbers and this shows no sign of stopping in 1942.

We have recently recieved some highly disturbing news, Portugal has been invaded by the USA. This shocking turn of events has rattled the Allies, we felt we had thrown the USA out of Portugal for good previously however it now seems that the Americans are determined to get a Fascist foothold on Europe and Portugal is their chosen target.

Our Portuguese Friends Have Been Invaded by the USA! Portugal is Holding on in her Colonies but it is up to us to Free her From US Occupation.

To put it simply, this cannot be allowed to happen. The fall of Portugal would give the Fascists an excellent staging ground for an invasion of Europe or even Britain and with our armies fighting in the Soviet Union this would be an absolute disaster...perhaps a fatal one.

The Americans are becoming annoying, perhaps we are guilty of underestimating them. We were content to sacrifice our colonies in South America however we were surprised when they invaded Portugal however we did drive them into the sea, taking numerous divisions captive. This second attempt has been far more successful and we have three divisions in Britain being loaded into transports and are ebing escorted by our submarine fleets.

Upon the second liberation of Portugal, we shall leave a pair of our submarine fleets in order to protect the portuguese coast, there are two fleets currently docked in southern Britain for repairs and once these repairs are completed they will be sent to Portugal.

The US navy has lost much strength to our submarines including numerous aircraft carriers and we are confident of similar results in the future.

Diplomacy

Due to our new found wealth we have returned our focus to bringing Albania into the Allies, despite a few poor results from our advances we eventually had great impact on the government of Albania and our relations have improved greatly.

Albanian Relations Improve

The youngest nation on Earth is taking her first fledgling steps in her young life and her economy is stabilising. Byelorussia has the potential to be a powerful Ally and she should be invaluable in our fight against her Communist oppressors.

Byelorussia- our Newest Ally

Isn't Albania rather meaningless right now?

I know what you mean and yes kind of, i am though looking at Nationalist China but they will require more work.

Hm, seems to me like the American AI is fond of making naval landings, however they aren't very good when it comes to brining in reinforcements it seems. ;)

I dont intend on giving them the time to do so ;)

Two tank division, shouldn't be too hard unless they reinforce.

Hope so, i will use my subs to hold the coast. I have three divisions being transported to Portugal, so it could be tight. [they are all i can currently spare] It is a pity though, Portuguese divisions must have been destroyed in the invasion.

Stupid portuguese can never defend themselves, whether axis or allied.

It seems you are definently right, yeah i am definently leaving some of my subs on guard. Im noticing a silence from the enemies navies, im getting ready to start moving a few fleets of submarines on patrol ..err...wherever i wish to mop up the rest of the enemy fleets.

....Commands It To Be Done

Due to the dire situation in Portugal, we have responded as quickly as possible. Three divisions in Britain have been loaded onto transports along with a single marine division that has been based in Berlin since the capture of the city [originally a division in an army of three- the other two were destroyed by the Luftwaffe], together these four divisions are currently being unloaded into southern Portugal and we are confident in their ability to defeat the US forces and, with the navies help, hold Portugal until the nation has rebuilt its forces.

British Troops Landing in Portugal

Soviet Front

We have experienced some ups and downs against the Soviets recently, this began in the north where we attempted to push further north after our steady advance in the region. We met a wall of Soviet resistance.

A Large Battle Ensues

Our Forces are Defeated

Despite this dissapointing defeat in the north, to the south we continued our steady advance, defeating the Soviet forces again and again. Baku and Stalingrad are becoming closer and if we can continue this rate of advance we may be able to capture Stalingrad before the end of the year. We must, however, guard against complacancy.

Impending Victory for our Tank Divisions

The forces in the south have broken in two, a large force that will continue the surge south and a second smaller force that will swing to the north and link up with O'Connor and his forces leading the assault on Moscow.

Kharkov is Encircled and our Troops Advance Further, Pushing the Soviets Back

The Back and forth nature of this front showed itself as, after winning a battle against Soviet forces, we were defeated just hours later further to the north. As we push the Soviets further back their resolve seems to be growing stronger, if we are to break the Soviet lines and take Moscow we will have to keep the same heart and determination that allowed us to defeat Italy and Germany.

Victory, our Tanks Continue to Roll Forward

Upon our arrival in Kursk our troops are immediatly attacked by a vastly larger Soviet force.

Despite this defeat we decided to go ahead with our plan to assault the large Soviet army in Bryansk, the battle was fought between two vast armies and General Loyd lead our forces into the battle.

Ouch, looks like releasing Byelorussia cut off your boys from supply.

My troops are in supply, its the Soviets that are in trouble.

Why aren't there any tanks in Kursk! :p

Yeah, you are getting closer to Stalingrad, but remember that Moscow really is much more important, even though the city bears Stalin's name Moscow has more manpower and IC. ;)

You are absolutely right, Moscow is #1 on my target list. I am focusing on pushing the Soviets back all over the front though, i dont want to focus too tightly on one area.

Almost 1500!

I will update at the end of the week, its the easter weekend holiday coming up.
