So it is time for me to go from the training wheels on Aresenal of Democracy to add all the wonderful mods out there. I have downloaded DH via steam and updated it to 1.03. What are the best mods to add to DH to give me a great taste of something different? I also notice that DH has three flavors I can play in...do all the mods work across all flavors? Lastly are there any play guides out there that you more knowledgeable members of the community would advice I read. Understand the long term goal is to be able to eventually make the leap to HoI3, without getting my teeth kicked in.

While not the HoI3 forum(and I will repost it there) does 3 allow you to set ministers to handle installation of radar/IC/andAAA....or is that still done by hand?

There are a lot of reasons for playing DH, Rocket, but I wouldn't reckon this to be one of them.

:)

Considering that there are those AARs of Portugal world conquest, France spanking Germany by 1941, and even (gasp) invading France via Maginot line by 1937, anyone expecting HOI 3 to be difficult will have a nasty surprise...

Only thing HOI 3 has more is pseudo-complexity in the form of it´s boring OOB management and tiny provinces.

WW1: Mod1914
WWII Scenario: WiF2 (hard mode) or Mixed Mod (more flavor)

"Alternative" WWII Scenario: TRP (They use a different combat engine)

Alternative History Mod: Kaiserreich

Cold War Mod: NWO2

Total Conversions: FoDD

Mods I would avoid: MDS2 (lags like no tomorrow), EoD (banned subjects, terrible quality control)
