Part 17: A new dawn for Asia
November 19th 1946 – July 1st 1947

Our grand offensive to drive the Japanese off the continent continues, however, we are also now at risk of spreading our forces too thin. Occupation forces are quickly formed from the hordes of defeated peoples, which will be posted to lands far away and foreign to their own, in effect the defeated, will occupy the defeated. Divide and conquer.

Meanwhile at the front with the dawn of a new day three fresh offensives are launched towards the Korean peninsula and Vladivostok:

The Japanese are now beginning to rely overwhelmingly on the strength of their Australasian and Transamuran allies. The Khan decrees that if the Japanese cannot defend their own Empire, they are not fit to rule one.

However, the lack of Japanese divisions on the ground in Asia may mean that they were holding troops for an amphibious invasion. This seems to be the case as on the 22nd November the Japanese attempt a landing on the Chinese coast:

Immediately, our 12 division strong coastal reserve is ordered to prevent the establishment of a beachhead:

Although the Japanese initially commit more divisions, with our reinforcements we have the upper hand, and the Japanese are confined to the beaches:

At the start of December a major offensive is begun to hopefully knock the Transamurans out of the war, allowing us to concentrate our forces for a push down the now reinforced Korean peninsula:

Shockingly, despite the occupation of their capital, our Eastern enemies decide to struggle on. At least they are brave, although it will not save them:

However, to the Khan’s wicked delight, just a day later the Transamuran government announce surrender to our might. The great last stand of the eastern republic did not last long:

The surrender of their puppet left pockets of Japanese forces surrounded and cut off in the far east:

As the pockets on the mainland are crushed, the Japanese launch a second invasion of China to attempt to relieve pressure on their army in Korea:

The front at the dawn of 1947:

Despite the help of their last remaining ally, the Japanese are powerless to stop us as their invasions are repelled:

The Khan’s forces besiege 23 Japanese divisions at Port Arthur, inflicting a devastating defeat:

The Japanese now have very little land forces left to oppose us:

In the Far East, another invasion is launched:

Our enemies mount a cowardly and deceitful landing behind our line:

By the end of February the Japanese empire in Asia hangs by a thread:

The Khan swiftly severs that thread. The Japanese bow down to our power, and offer us all of their mainland Asian holdings in exchange for peace:

The Khan is merciful for once, as he knows that our tiny, outdated fleet is incapable of defeating the Japanese navy, at least for now. This leaves us the undisputed masters of Asia. The Khan, never tiring, never ceasing, now gazes to the west...
