That's a strange face.

It's a cultural-religious thing: in a nutshell, some currents of Islam prohibit depictions of the Prophet, as it could lead to idolatry. The image is a calligraphic representation of the Prophet's name.

Paradox just tries to please everyone, just like when they don't include actual Nazi symbols and flags in HoI because they're forbidden in Germany...

So... You were relaxing on a mattress that was on top of a stagecoach going down the road, trying to catch some zzz's under the stars, when a snake, startled by all the jostling of the coach, bumped into your leg, biting it in self-defense. The pain causes you to jump up, standing on the mattress, and you grab for the safety railing your men had thoughtfully added to the coach's roof. The railing gives way, tumbling you down onto the road hard. And just as the coach driver pulls to a stop and you slowly stagger to your feet, nose and mouth bloodied, a bunch of men step out of the shadows to take you by force, chasing your driver off just before pulling daggers and stabbing you repeatedly. And just as the third blow lands, you hear someone call out a command and the area fills with arrows, several of which find their mark in you...

Yeah, I'm getting the impression people didn't like you much. :p

I believe the odd part is that the blob is stable. Owning England usually causes Norway to implode.

It happened in my game too..
The awesome thing is that England now has Anglo-Norse culture! :D

It is only an alpha screenshot, so please no complaints about the grainy portraits. But I'm doing something wrong, I think. He just doesn't look like the rest of the family for some reason.

HA! funny.

But diplomacy 18? He wasn't able to deal with the french though. I think intrigue would've been more believable consider he outsmarted the old man at the bridge. :)

Wouldn't 'Pendragon' rather be the name of the dynasty, since Arthur was called so after his father: Uther Pendragon....

ARTHUR: How do you do, good lady. I am Arthur, King of the Britons.
Who's castle is that?
WOMAN: King of the who?
ARTHUR: The Britons.
WOMAN: Who are the Britons?
ARTHUR: Well, we all are. we're all Britons and I am your king.
WOMAN: I didn't know we had a king. I thought we were an autonomous
collective.
DENNIS: You're fooling yourself. We're living in a dictatorship.
A self-perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes--
WOMAN: Oh there you go, bringing class into it again.
DENNIS: That's what it's all about if only people would--
ARTHUR: Please, please good people. I am in haste. Who lives
in that castle?
WOMAN: No one live there.
ARTHUR: Then who is your lord?
WOMAN: We don't have a lord.
ARTHUR: What?
DENNIS: I told you. We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take
it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week.
ARTHUR: Yes.
DENNIS: But all the decision of that officer have to be ratified
at a special biweekly meeting.
ARTHUR: Yes, I see.
DENNIS: By a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs,--
ARTHUR: Be quiet!
DENNIS: --but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more--
ARTHUR: Be quiet! I order you to be quiet!
WOMAN: Order, eh -- who does he think he is?
ARTHUR: I am your king!
WOMAN: Well, I didn't vote for you.
ARTHUR: You don't vote for kings.
WOMAN: Well, 'ow did you become king then?
ARTHUR: Well, I downloaded CK2 from Paradox and . . .

Thinking of this classical dialogue turning out that way. But doesnt it remind us of the lovely discussions we sometimes have here. Ahhhhh......

The Occitian Sunni Sultan of Aquitaine and France. Ironically even under Christianity France still had just as many revolts as it does under the Sunnis. The Muslims in this game sure like to start Holy Wars for Brittany, I've seen at least three. The Pope also owns 90% of the de Jure Kingdom of Italy.
