Hi all DH-fans, the first month of 2012 is over, so it's time to choose a new best DH AAR. As you know, Falconette's The Darkest Hour of the Russian Empire 2 won the prize in December 2011, so it won't participate in January 2012 and February 2012 contests. We've chosen the most active AARs which are "alive" at the moment. The poll will close on 19 of February.

Damned, I voted to rapidly, i forgot to check the torch of the mediteranean!
 
Definitely The Torch of the Mediterranean, it's probably the most thought-through and well written DH AAR ever. It's fleshing out Southern Italy's fluff in much the same way Meadow defined the Union of Britain's backstory.

I didn't even know this poll existed until Falconette told me that I'd won so to win without even voting for myself is quite something - especially given that I'm a part-time politician in real life ;)

But I actually think that Torch of the Mediterranean, The Third Counterweight and Indivisible and Inseperable are all brilliant AARs so I strongly recommend that people go and read those if they haven't already - their styles of writing are much better than mine :)
 
Sorry for necromancing ... but this idea with the pools is awesome!
Why there are no more?
Any chance of a 'revival'?
