Unpredictable II
War in the East
War in the East
So I have settled in nicely into my new home, 300 miles away in the north of England, and I think it is time to introduce a new world where it looks like as if someone sneezed a rainbow onto the world map and called them countries. This time I will be playing FTM (For the first time even though I had it pre-ordered!) as well as using an updated world generator which won't quite have as much chaos where each countries borders lie. So no more countries like Wales in my previous AAR which held most of the Carribean, the far north of Canada, part of Mexico, Greenland, Iceland and Bermuda.
As you can tell by the title I am going to be in a different theatre of war although the variation in the terrains will be similar. The area where I am choosing a country will range from (using modern country locations) Iran to Japan and as far south as Australia. I also plan on being a Comintern country, this does not neccessarily mean I will join the Comintern but the option will be considered. Although I will not choose a nation until the next post but I thought I would inform you of the parameters of my decision. If I do not find a country that meets this choice and does not look like it could possibly be a country that could become a great nation, (like Bulgaria in my previous AAR) I will choose either a far right or try and push a country towards being a Leninist/Stalinist state.
For those of you interested in this mod you can either find it by going to the main HoI3 forum and enter the user modification subforum and click on Random Scenario and Map Generator where you can find information about the mod etc. If you've gathered what the mod is all about already click here to goto the download page for the mod.
With that all said and done, I think it's time to introduce you to the new world that I have created. First the parameters for this world:
Almost 30 countries less than last time, hopefully this will remove some of the microstates that couldn't possibily stand a chance.
Less leaders this time however ALL leaders will start with no experience.
Again this time I'm making it more of a level playing field to hopefully stimulate different focus' for each nation.
Similar to last time however this time Democratic nations will have a higher neutrality.
No units for anyone once again.
Strategic Resources is a new option but has been left on its default. As I haven't had a chance to explore FTM I don't know exactly what they do so for this game it will be left alone.
I unticked victory keypoints, again something I'm unsure about. Rocket sites will appear a little more often than before. More ports will have coastal defences and there should be fewer forts or more concentrated forts.
This is a new option which affects the way the map is generated, the option is self explanatory.
And now for what you have all been waiting to see:
Axis: Togo (The bright green nation in Scandinavia)
Allies: The Choctaw Nation (The purple nation in East Africa, Yemen/Oman and Madagascar)
Comintern: The Maldives (The pale purple where Yugoslavia would be)
In the east it is a sea of conflicting ideologies, the majority are either Socialist or Federal Left wing governments with no elections or Far right or Absoloute Monarchys without elections. There are a few democratic nations but it certain looks like this will be a war of ideology in the east. I have looked at a few of the nations and I will make my decision soonish. The updates will not be too regular I don't think but I still have to check my timetable (I start my course proper on monday and they were supposed to upload my complete timetable today but I can't seem to find it) but it might be every wednesday.
So when everything sorts itself out I will return a begin another drive for world domination.
