The german distraction might be the turning point of the game.

Nah, sinking old CAs and escorts are not "major blows".The Kriegsmarine is dealing some serious blows to the RN, at least.
Yeah, you are pretty much correct.Nah, sinking old CAs and escorts are not "major blows".
Although it would be slightly unpleasant if GB loses the Great Fleet bonus because of those.
Sinking the Yamato is another semi-important blow against Japan. Not so bad as losing a carrier, but still wince-worthy. The Royal Navy is still supreme.
You realise that the Axis won in all previous games, do you? MP games are prone to exploits by their very nature and the fact that HOI games have never been too MP-focused doesn't help, either.tbh this AAR became rather boring a while ago. Too many house rules limiting the axis, while the allies are allowed to use unbalanced strats that give them the edge. With these rules, its clearly impossible for the axis to get the momentum they need to stand a chance on the long run, if players are all on the same level.
Denmark and the Baltic Sea can easily become a death trap for the Allies if the Germans are determined to destroy them, though. Since this is not FTM, you can rebase aircraft in an instant without any ORG loss, which could potentially destroy or at least heavily damage the Allied ships. The situation is more tricky on the land, since the troops must be redeployed from other areas. This is the end, I don't think Germany has any reserves near Denmark, if UK has any forces left the whole card house could unravel now.
As long as Copenhagen is in UK hands Germany needs at least an army group to guard against invasions in its backyard, thus depriving the other fronts of these forces.
One corps is apparently not enough to keep Germany in control of this all important province, which is the 2nd most important for the Reich, after Berlin.
Time to attack Italy again

How strong is the RAF? I would have expected that rotating airwings and a concentrated assault to be able to punch through the LWaffe and get at the German capital ships.
I have seen this kind of British / American invasion of Denmark like operation Viking in at least 3 HOI3 MP games, they all achieved roughly the same success as this one but afterwards they fell apart. The issue is that Denmark is very close to major German air bases and supply network, furthermore it can be blocked at two provinces in the southern part of Jutland. Any sensible player, especially in this game, will already have a few divisions in Berlin so it can not just be rushed. New troop deployments can be placed where needed as Germany is most likely still producing new land units, while the Luftwaffe can hurt or even wipe out divisions in stationed in Denmark.
Basically I am saying that this operation can only progress if Luftwaffe is inactive and Germany has no strategic reserves available. It might even be worthwhile to do a few dummy invasions in France to keep the German garrisons there in place.
When is the next update?
