Oh man, that looks so cool :) How far along are you in developement? I'd love to test it out if you have a working alpha ^^

Thumbs up

Interesting but why don't you use Ptolemy map ?
I'd guess he doesn't like it, for I wouldn't believe he doesn't know of it.
But it's a good question - playing this mod on the Ptolemy map would be a nice thing.

This a remake of some EU2 mod, or a new creation of yours? I don't recall an EU2 mod for that period, this one'd be cool.
Any more info?

The inspiration for the project is actually a game I loved called Great Invasions made by the maker of the EU boardgame. Unfortunately between the subpar graphics and the incessant crashes, I was never able to play it for very long.

This mod will also be deeply in debt to civ3 unit makers, AJFIFU, IES, and the 476 scenario as well as a bunch of other mods.

I should have something usable soon.

Interesting but why don't you use Ptolemy map ?

Too many provinces. It is already a difficulty getting the empire to fall and barbarians to spread properly with the vanilla map. I can't see that happening at all on the Ptolemy map.

Looks neat :). Hope you can move forward with this project. The Late Antiquity and the beginning of the Early Middle Ages - one of the most fascinating subjects in History.

what nations/states and cultures will be used?

Will watch with interest.

Aye.

Congratulations for your work, Garbon. And many thanks!
Hope that you hadn't too many "limes" to cross for your own migration :)
Cheers!

Here's a small update that includes what I've been working on so far. The 511 is still rough (northern europe and far east asia are still unimplemented) but makes for a nice visual. Also I'm not sure quite what happened but the archive suddenly became 4 times smaller than 0.1a.

Looking good :)

It's a jamboree!
