TRP, I, for one, do not like the democratic system. A government is elected every 2 years and then it runs the country. Simple as that. In almost any country, baring a major political crisis, after a government takes place it is up to the government to chose and implement policies. The opposition can only complain. Then, elections are held again and it all starts over.
I feel that if we had to take a vote on every issue that comes up before us we would take forever to play. Say 2-4 days for a vote, half a dozen votes for every month of gameplay, you do the math.
Now, if there is a major disagreement in the government its up to the government to mend it. If it becomes severe and a party decides to leave the government then we are in trouble and might need new elections or something. But as long as everyone in government agrees, and the government holds more than half the votes, why bother with what should be a purely procedural excersize?
