Oh trust me, I plan on writing a "PDFed and distributed by request via PM" special on RAF Space Command as we speak. It's full of spoilers hence no direct posting.
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
have you read the comic "Ministry of Space"?
So we might start to see Easterns or Southerns (the former about India and the latter about Africa). I reckon they could be a bit more pessimistic than the average Western, after all this was a spread of civilization that involved a lot of bloodshed. Canadian westerns would also be fun (maybe focusing around the Seven Years War/American War of Independence.
Guys
Possibly you might have a few about the settlement of eastern Canada with a lot involving Mounties as the central figures. Also possibly a few subtle swipes at the fact the Canadian settlement was largely peaceful compared to the widespread massacres south of the 49th. Perhaps some featuring characters like Geronimo and Tecumseh as tragic heroes.

Now that is some food for thought. Thank ye kindly, good Sir!
perhaps a tv series involving the gallant canadians fending off the yankee hordes would popular.
oh crap and double crap. just occured to me there may well never be a star trek in this time line nor is it likely heinlein will write any of his classic novels.
we need a campaign to rescue isaac asimov as well. losing him would truly be a tragedy.
Well, if Star Trek does end up existing, at least we'll still have Shatner. Canada's own!
It would be a shame if he didn't.
He... May not be... Great... At... Speaking,... But it... Sure is... Funny!
He was a candidate for Governor General, did you know?
well the settlement of eastern and central canada would have been a cowboy free movie. the mounties were out west and only spread much later in canadian history.
nothing subtle about that peaceful settlement thing. when sitting bull first arrived in canada to stay with his cousins he was met at the border by a handful of mounties who explained the rules to him and bade him welcome to canada. when they returned to the us a force of 4 whole mounties escorted them to the border where the commander of the regiment of us cavalry was entirely hornswoggled that so few mounties were involved.
the contrast between the settlement of the canadian west and the american west is literally night and day.
i love to refer to that as the american insurrection. this produces a blank look upon pretty much any american's face and an opportunity to upgrade their knowledge of history.
