(Edited Feb 23rd 2023) Greetings! We just updated the Open Beta build! A few issues have been fixed, and a couple of new ones are discovered (new issues added marked in yellow)! Your feedback is appreciated!

While we aim to retain compatibility with save games made in the currently live release (version 1.1.2) it is not guaranteed. For best results with 1.2-beta, start a new game. We are still interested in hearing if you run into issues when loading saves made in 1.1.2.

We aim to make several releases on the open beta branch, and will update this document accordingly. More information about the beta can be found in Development Diary #73.

Please be aware of the following known issues. Many of these will be addressed in upcoming beta releases. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

FIXED ISSUES IN THIS UPDATE!
  1. The sound effects of a new Feed Notification added was fixed.
  2. The indicator bar for convoy capacity works properly now.
  3. Severe budget deficit which was happening because of private construction is now fixed.
  4. Building completion time estimations are fixed.
  5. “Conquer State” wargoal against a Native Uprising is now fixed.
  6. Countries are unable to lean against a country they have a Truce with in a Diplomatic Play or influence the status of the opponent.
  7. Japanese heirs from the Meiji Restoration event do not appear before they are born anymore
  8. Some numbers in the Population Detailed List menu are displayed properly now.
  9. Multiplayer now is free from OOS after hotjoining(AI).
  10. Our third build for Open Beta is free from crash in Observing mode when opening information panels.
  11. Mass Migration is balanced and fixed.

FIXED ISSUES IN PREVIOUS UPDATE
  1. Private constructions sometimes stopped late game, despite having access to labor, money and resources.
  2. Can now incorporate Split States and no longer have the “Colony still growing” tooltip.
  3. Incorrectly calculated health caused historical characters to die too early and is fixed now.
  4. AI overbuilding its Ports, despite having an excess of Convoys.
  5. “Decisions” keybind is fixed.
  6. State Building panel listing all buildings - No longer lists all possible buildings.
  7. Ideology has a stance on Cooperative Ownership law now.
  8. Confirming a Diplomatic Play only triggers the first on-click, leaving the window open and no Map Notification shown is fixed.
  9. 'Save game incompatibility' is fixed now.

Known Bugs:

1. Private Construction
One of the major features introduced in Update 1.2 is the Autonomous Investment/Private Construction Queue (dev diary link).​
There are several issues with it present on the open beta build, as fixes and improvements are being worked on.​
Workaround: These issues will not occur if you selected the "Directly Controlled Investment Pool" setting in the Game Rules menu when starting a new game.​
2. Localization
1.2 Update introduces a sizable number of new functionalities, UI elements and text strings. The localization process for these is still in progress and there are going to be many unlocalized elements in non-English versions of the open beta client

2.1 There is a small number of unlocalized strings present in the English version of the open beta client. These include strings like “WARSHIPS_TOTAL” or “TOTAL_INSTITUTION_INVESTMENT_LEVELS”
3. Feature-breaking bugs
3.1 Tutorial objectives may not work properly​
3.2 Revolutionary state weights are computed incorrectly, most notably causing American slave states to potentially join the Union during the American Civil War.​
4. Notification bugs
4.1 Recruiting a new general results in a notification that they moved to a NULL_OBJ HQ​
4.2 Notification content (for peace treaties or character deaths) is getting voided before the notification disappears, resulting in placeholder information being visible for a brief time​

4.3 Notification Settings for “Building Built” and “Building Expanded” do not work​
5. Issues with Diplomatic Plays
5.1 It is possible to use “Transfer Subject” wargoal to transfer junior Customs/Personal Union members​
5.2 Colonization does not automatically resume after defeating a Native Uprising​
6. Issues with the AI
6.1 Currently, there is a chance to go out of sync in multiplayer.​
7. Issues with Input Bindings/Controls
7.1 Lack of “Reset to Default” functionality in the Input Bindings​
8. Interface bugs
8.1 Map list for Issue Decree interaction shows the current authority cost instead of predicted one​

8.2 Sometimes if a building in a shared market suffers a shortage, the country will receive a shortage alert even if none of their buildings are affected​
8.3 In some cases there is a graphical issue while a general is given a standby order while a battle is gaining advancement but before it fires, the battle will still keep some advancement attributed to absence of a general.​
8.4 Icons in Export Trade Routes can change to placeholders after opening the market menu twice.

9. Miscellaneous bugs
9.1 Some Throughput Modifiers are counted twice for Livestock Ranches building​
9.2 Currently, spacebar keystroke doesn't play sounds​
9.3 GeForce now does not work with the Open Beta. (This is not due to an issue with 1.2 but rather due to GFN not supporting non-standard Steam branches, and will be fixed when the update goes live).​
9.4 Performance might seem a bit substandard occasionally, this is known and being worked on.​
9.5 In some cases mobilization during naval invasions might result in multiple simultaneous landing battles.​
9.6 Currently, taking a treaty port from Qing as Great Britain doesn't end the Opium War in defeat for Qing.
