I just checked my system for Cyberpunk, and an upgrade would need to play it.
Do you know if Blood Lines will need a similar system?

Link to the system tester I use.

I personally use GameDebate to run these kinds of tests. It doesn't require me to download sketchy software and does the same thing, although I guess SRL can be useful to those who don't know what kind of hardware they have and where to look. Anyway, I don't believe HSL/Paradox has officially announced any kind of system specs yet (those around the web are just speculation). Your guess is as good as mine.

I'm thinking it won't be as demanding as Cyberpunk, but not too far off the mark either.

I have no clue. And I have found no official system requirements. Basically, no one knows. Anyone who tells you they know, is just making things up.

Likely not as demanding. cyberpunk is a lot vaster and denser. Whether your current system is good enough is a different question... that we don't really know, but I suspect that the bars will be low as they were intending to release on currentgen Xbox, not the next-gen like cyberpunk pivoted to. Whether the requirements stay low after they retool and add support for the next-gen remains to be seen.

that's more than Cyber Punk
Don't listen to them! I contacted Clara Ellison and she told me the you would you would need at very least a 3080 GPU and an i7 of the 10th generation to run Bloodlines 2 at this stage.

(We're both joking. :p A good rule of thumb - always take everything that is presented to you with, information included, with a grain of salt, unless it comes from official, verified sources.)

Seriously now, was Stadia or something similar ever an option? I don't think so.

Apparently Cyberpunk 2077 is better on Stadia compared to the consoles, but still sucks compared to a good pc. The next gen consoles should eventually be better than Stadia when the next gen patch is finally introduced in a few months.

I don't think even Hardsuit knows what the specs are for Bloodlines 2. If they are making tech changes for consoles, then no idea what that means for the PC version.

I hope they end up posting them at least a month (or earlier) as it would suck to not be able to run the game you've been waiting for.

This would be true if HSL had two or three developers, that hopefully is not true ;)

PC and consoles require different teams for coding , and I'm sure that they know well the target hw for PC version.
The code optimization is also a long and continuos task, so they will probably announce the requirements 2-3 months before the release, when they will
be just debugging and not coding.

This is something that triggers me the most lately ...

Last year it was "just polishing" the game ...
Right now its "just optimalizing" the game ...

And yet noone is allowed to talk about game mechanisms. :-/
How could they polish, or optimalize ... if they dont have mechanisms done, or at least decided? o_O

This is my opinion.
Let's suppose that BL2 will be out in 3Q21 (let's suppose mid september).
The "pure debugging and optimization" ( for performance, AI, etc etc.) will take at lest 4-5 months since someone says "ok, the game is done". This because nobody can "debug and optimize" something that a colleague in the next room is still developing.
This brings to April 2021 the date of "it's done".

What are they doing now (actually since mid 2020 ) ?
For me, writing a lot of code for something that was already done but was re-done , and for adding parts that probably weren't there, and someone realize that could not be missing.
Possiblility ? All that was not shown or even anticipated in all the trailer/ads of 2019
- a quite different run with different clan (being a toreador or a ventrue or brujah is not even comparable, an not just because brujah's beat like hammers ! )
- character development, XPs, customizations etc
- a true world , not some 3d figures walking on the streets
etc. etc.

So , i think that we will not have any words or sounds or grunts until march-april at least.

Im honestly not sure about this statement ...
When Santa Monica is done, and developers move to downtown, what exactly is holding you back to start testing, and debuging Santa Monica?

Not sure if question is "since mid 2020" ... first delay was anounced Oct 16, 2019. o_O

Its all posible, sure ... but to be completely honest i dont really care what they do, or how long it will take ...

I just want to know what result should i expect. :(
Or if you wish what are their goals, vision, call it however you like. :D

I know we were told that they want to give us "worthy sucessor of Bloodlines legacy" ... but what does that mean? :-/
Few months ago we were told by the same people that we are able to play "bloodlines" in Crusader Kings, and all that was that anouncement about is simple mod transfering humans for vampires ... not changing anything in the end. :-/

So , i think that we will not have any words or sounds or grunts until march-april at least.
1. April they will tell us release date ... just to remind us that its 1. April. :D

Actually you are right. And in developer's team Agile approach is nowaday more common than the old Waterfall, but the well known "final polish" requires a almost done product, but for very minor change.

If only BL2 was developed by PDS , probably we have had...

All this game development and silence and all it's already a joke.
