I wonder if maybe the 8 year old game has reached it's limit and Paradox should start from scratch. Things like the trade systems, political system and internal transport are so integral they can't really be changed unless it starts over from scratch.
I mainly would like to see more emphasis on transport from location to location and trade between empires. As well as a more relevant and engaging political system.

Agreed. I don't even use the trade system anyway, except for the market. It would be nice if they would include all the various mods/DLCs they've added over the years.
But also internal trade to get resources around the empire. I would also like it if consumer goods was split into like electronics and light industry and that some of it is needed for ships too.

Yeah, also you never get access to most of the strategic resources, so some of those can go out the door. Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever gotten living metals or nanites?
im actually playing a game now and have a single deposit of living metal. on a separate note i also found out that if you put a dyson swarm on a star that has minor relics (message in a bottle dig site) it will produce more minor relics. went from 1 deposit to 34 max swarm.

I don't think Stellaris 2 will be coming anytime soon. I do however think Stellaris 4.0 is on it's way however. Like in previous versions, I want Stellaris to have a huge overhaul when 4.0 comes. Everything from internal politics to ground combat to technology and wars in general and maybe even trade and logistics all haven't seen any love within the past 8 years and could use a major facelift. Even if it means an entire DLC centered around them. That's what our suggestions are for. The more we suggest Paradox to add in a more comprehensive internal politics and espionage system and the more we pester them to add in ground combat, the more likely those will be added in when Stellaris 4.0 comes.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense that your capital starts with only something like 5 people on the entire planet. Earth has like 8 billion people.
Pops aren't single individuals, they're populations of individuals. Hence the name.
