It would be really helpful if at the end of a mercenary contract they would ask to prolongate it (as they do in CK3, or as other enclaves do it)
I really love playing with them but sometimes there is none to hire, just so I can make "corporate peacekeeping" work it would fell better if we could just keep them going as long as credits go.
At the moment i am hesitant to push that far Defense Privatization, because of this, as all companies are always hired, and don't want to make them brake their contact so i am not agains the "law".
Also strange that they take up naval capacity, i don't know how it works out when you get -80% form corporate peacekeeping, and they "only" get a -25% naval capacity reduction when hired (first i tougth they will take exactly 0 capacity, as they are mercs ...)
EDIT: it is even worst, once i told "my mercs" to "come back" from previous contract, i don't even have the options to hire them anymore.

Same goes for the Scrappers Enclave if you ask them to help out with engineering research, I would like if they came to ask for a renewal of the contract as soon as it runs out, like the other enclaves.

And additionally to the mercenaies, while you have the option to extend an ongoing contract, you can only extend it by one year at a time while painstakingly clicking through the dialog as many times as you want extend the contract. I think an additional option to extend the contract for 10 years at a time would be quite the QoL improvement.

Edit: You actually extend the mercenary contracts in 10 year increments, I just misread the 3600 days as 360

Where do you find them? Under contacts? I have a game a 100 years in, and don't see any. (I haven't created any, but two galactic resolutions have been passed making them better, so I'm wondering if someone else has and I just don't know where to look.)

Filter the contacts to show only enclaves. You should see a bunch of mercs there.

Makes you wonder where all that reduced naval cap goes if Mercs use yours anyways.
