Recently bought this game and loving it, however the one thing putting me off is lack of keyboard and mouse support. Literally everything in this game takes 10 times longer to do stuff due to fiddly controller sticks. The amount of time spent trying to move something just a tiny bit, while trying to get the analogue stick just right is enough to make me throw it at a wall.

I appreciate the work gone into taking the game from PC to console and adding controller support but the truth is some games simply don't get any benefit with a controller and this is one such game.

If you guys could please add keyboard and mouse support to the console versions, i'll surely be spending more time playing with enjoyment rather then frustration.

Thanks

It's particularity annoying when trying to work in angles. It's so hard to move just a single degree with a controller. I know this is something i could do in seconds with a keyboard and mouse but i'm sitting there with a controller spending like 10 minutes to just shift a road by 1 degree.

Anyway, i'm loving the rest of the game a bit deeper than i thought it would be and i love how i can manipulate terrain. Although it takes forever since i have to shift the soil instead of straight manipulate it. Which led me to create template maps where i have already shifted the terrain. Some of the maps i manipulated took hours lol. It is cool though how i can completely change an entire map so it's nothing like how it started. Adds months worth of more playtime and more on top of that from the DLC.

Very nice game.

You can change the camera sensitivity in the options menu. This will make it easier to get the roads in the exact position you want. If this isn't good enough for you why not purchase the Steam edition on PC? It has more dlc and mods.

The sensitivity options don't make much difference, besides it doesn't change the fact that everything that can be done with a controller can be done over 10 times faster with a mouse. I don't really like the frustration of trying to make a control system work that doesn't really suit the type of game i'm trying to play. Otherwise i'd just be enjoying the game as i have no other frustration with any other part.

The game itself is already capable of capturing my time investments, i don't like that a larger part of that time is going towards just trying to make the controls work when a simple point and click is all i need.

I would have bought the game on steam but i need a new PC before i go that route. Anyway, i know Keyboard and mouse support is actually quite easy for PS4 and was just hoping the devs had plans or could think about improving the console versions with a more accurate control interface. Keyboard and mouse is a lot more fitting.

I did in fact buy this game last year at some point, it's only now i bothered to start playing it. One of the main things putting me off is lack of keyboard and mouse support. I don't think it matters whether a game is on PC or console, i think the controls should suit the game as best they can. IMO keyboard and mouse are the best controllers for a game like this. Consoles aren't so old hat these days that they don't easily support other options.

I'm just saying i can deal with it but it is very frustrating and time consuming. It's more of a quality of life request/hope/wish.
