Hello guys ! I’m very new to the franchise I’m struggling to understand how do I get the mentioned engineering research to be available to research?

I indeed get the tradition / perk the flesh is week but in order to go for cybernetics (the one that I can have half robot s and organic pop ) it’s asking to have integrate cybernetics.

I googled it , looked into YouTube but nothing really clear.

Thank you all !

You need the integrated cybernetics technology. The easiest way to guarantee you get it will be to run the The Flesh is Weak agenda with your council, which will give you some progress on the tech (or any prerequisites you might lack). This will lock the tech as a research option permanently, you just have to select it in your engineering research and wait.

That tech only has two prerequisites too, powered exoskeletons and colonial centralization. If you're missing colonial centralization that may be why you're struggling to find it, as that's a society tech.

once the agenda for "the flesh is weak" finishes, you need to scroll down the list of engineering research options. the next one you need for cybernetic ascension will be highlighted at the bottom with the other "guaranteed" research options. you need "powered exo-skeletons"(i think i spelled it right) before you can research "integrated cybernetics". the flesh is weak agenda will give you the next one you don't have. first it'll give you the powered exo-skeletons as a research option if you don't have it, and then integrated cybernetics when you research it and run the agenda again.

I checked here and I dont have researched these2 .. There is any requisite to this to appear? My game is the year 2400

Strange I dont have any of these 2 as an option to research .. I did the flesh is weak agenda just once , maybe because of this ?

what traditions do you have completed? by 2400 you should have all of them done long ago. the flesh is weak ascension perk is required to take the cybernetics tradition, which is how you complete the ascension path. if you already filled up all your tradition slots, you won't be able to finish an ascension path.

The issue is, I cant find a why to have Integrated cybernetic options to show .. I have the power skeleton but cant find the Colonial centralization
colonial centralization is a society(green) research option. it lets you level up your planets' capital buildings. you also seem to have very high consumer goods and energy production. see if you can shift more workers into research and unity jobs and that should speed up getting the colonial centralization tech and unlocking the cybernetics tradition tree. colonial centralization requires the Planetary Unification technology, which is one of the green tier 1 techs, usually one of the first options you have to research at game start. if you haven't researched it yet, you haven't been able to upgrade any of your capitals to increase housing and production.

The easiest way to get Integrated Cybernetics is off an event for observing primitive species, which gives a timed project to remove faulty implants. This will make it a guaranteed research option, meaning it is on the bottom of the list every time you get a new batch of research options (possibly with other guaranteed options).

In fact, if it hasn't shown up for you that late in the game, it seems possible to me that you actually had that event and didn't realize it was down the available options list, as it would no longer show up as a random option on the top of it.

There’s a lot of food in your bank. Unless your catalytic processing (making Alloys with food), genetically ascended (to build and upkeep cloning vats) or a hive mind still expanding to new planets (or cordysectic drones i suppose), you really should be as close to minimal as possible

Yeah, managing recourses is something that I’m struggling a lot. Coming from imperator Rome and Europe it’s a big change.

While not an exact science as such, unless I’m using food for something other than pop upkeep, I’m aiming for having a monthly surplus of 0-50 and some 2-3k banked at most (and used either to buy off marauders, or trading/selling on market) or 6 months worth of upkeep

mostly your economy numbers at the top of the screenshot, and for simply how long it's taken you to fill out traditions. also how you went so long without researching the unity tech. your economy could support a lot more research and unity jobs, so your empire is running with very low efficiency. if you aren't having trouble fending off the other empires in the galaxy, it's not a huge deal, especially on ensign and below levels of difficulty. it just means your research and traditions are drastically slower than most people's games

Diplomacy + Become the Crisis ... is that for enforced Vassals?

Hey, Rusty thank you for being a decent Human Being and helping someone to learn something!

The others who judged and made fun of a beginner, I hope you all learn in life how to be a better person.

Thank you
