It'll handle it very well, one of the best on the market. Stellaris is extremely poorly optimized, like most Paradox games so there is only so much performance you can squeeze out of it. If you play on huge galaxies with many fleets, it will still lag into the 10 fps range, only somewhat dependent on your GPU. I believe they are doing something to performance in the next patch, which is a very welcome change.

Always disable Xeno Compatibility. Playing genocidal empires also helps with lag due to fewer pops and fewer species.

Will i be able to achieve 10k pops at 400 stars? I don't need more honestly :p

Also, my gpu will be "Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Inno3D Twin X2 OC 4GB", don't know how it will affect perfomance in stellaris

A little hint for your options - for some people switchting from full screen to borderless window changed the game from actual lategame lag to beeing slowed down

Read it a few times, since I traditionally play borderless window I never had a real lag (only longer ingame days :p)

I recently got a new computer. My cpu is old but still is an exelent cpu. Its an intel xeon x3470 from the year 2009. But it was a very high end cpu at the time and still holds up well. I'm going to test it with stellaris now. Wish me luck.

I totally confirm that, with windowed mode the days are going slow, but nothing else lags, however the game doesn't start at all, when I try to play in full screen, so I don't even know, how the late game lag feels like:D
