Hello,

Just a quick q.... is the House of Grimaldi of Monaco in game? Their foundation as princes of Monaco is kinda cool. I havent been able to see any of the members as yet. Im pretty sure Monaco is to small to be represented in game. or is it?

Is it possible for a character to go from being the patrician in a republic to becoming a title holder elsewhere?

Just remember that todays Grimaldi of Monaco are a matrilinear branch. Patrilinearly they are from the house of Polignac. And even before the de Polignac they were de Gouyon from Brittany.

I did not know that @Berengar ! Thank you! I did know they had a few adoptions, which I dont mind. I don't mind that they trace descent to various families. I mean, they identify as Grimaldis and succession by adoption was a Roman tradition. So it works. Thank you all for pointing them out for me!

Listen, you do what you need to avoid a game over. :p

Literally in this case! Until just a few years ago, Monaco would revert to France via treaty if there were no Grimaldi dynastic heirs.
