Very small hotfix patch is now live., this is to help with the Multiplayer issues that many of you have been experiencing recently.

### Added server visibility settings to Steam MP (Public, Private, Friends)
### New checksum is 0aab

Does this setting affect only the visibility in the server browser? So this doesn't have a fix for the MP cheats that enable the console, crash lobbies, etc. nor for the 3rd party library that facilitates the availability of the players' IPs (as I believe you explained in the past)?

In any case, thanks for the attention to MP and for deploying an improvement. Being able to connect only as a friend will help some people, even though it's not for the general online community.
This is just to fix the server visibility issue.

Private and friends-only setting should protect you from all those (unless of course someone you invited to the game is the cheater :cool:).

The problem is that most people find public games, typically in a Discord, and have no way of knowing everyone. Except for unusually large groups of people, on YouTube and Twitch, who have their own games. So this doesn't help us much.
We are looking at more long-term anti-cheat solutions but if can't give a time frame (or commitment) at this time.
Sadly cheating in public multiplayer games over the internet is a problem as old as time to which the best answer will always be "get better friends to play with" or "put everyone behind a computer that your event provides".
