Hello everyone,

I would like to know if someone modded a galaxy building tool, for ealisy drawing maps and setting up preset empires.
Something which can allow you to easily add systems and colonized planets to an empire, modify the hyperlanes, and stuff like that. Also, potentially adding planets and celestial objects to systems which does not contain them, nebulas...

Thanks you very much for any input!

There was Retalyx Galaxy generator tool but its long outdated. Additionaly, custom hyperlanes are broken - many bigger mods are waiting for a fix from PDX. There is a workaround but it requires more knowledge and is very tedious since you basicaly have to craft each system manualy, and keep in mind that galaxies in stellaris can contain up to 1000 systems.

For system creation I use http://stellaristools.com/. It speeds up things by a lot. This tool is outdated too (doesn't support newer features like binary/trinary star systems), but It's not so much hassle to make it work.

And... how i build custom galaxy shapes is that I create a cooridnate system (https://www.math10.com/en/geometry/geogebra/fullscreen.html) and use the coordinates from it to place the systems where i want them to be. Keep in mind that for some reasons the galaxy will be upside down, so you have to mirror the coordinates.

I suggest looking at Star Trek: New Horizons mod and looking at the BOTF map in map/scenarios folder and solar_system_initializers inside stellaris/common.

I was hoping there was a more simple tool for doing this but it does not seem so. It would take far too much time to use the system builder you linked :/ . a tool generating a galaxy and allowing to modify things after the initial generation would have been perfect but well...

I'll check the Star Trek mod just in case.

Thank you for the pointers anyways! :)
