Since the patch came out, my friends and i haven't been able to have more than 3 people in a game without it dsyncing every 1 year. And with 2 people it goes out of sync after about an hour or two, and from there it just starts going out of sync all the time.

After the second patch was released we were able to play a long game with 4+ people without it desyncing, but since then there has been constant problems with desync.

I bought the game along with my friends 2 years ago and we still cant play it.

hoi4, eu4, ck 3, stelaris - no problems, but imperator is just a mess.

How can it be so difficult to fix something like this, when its a formula you have worked on since victoria times? I honestly wonder if the devs even tried playing this game in multiplayer before releasing the patch.

The "best" thing about MP in Imperator is that when you load a MP savegame the lobby is gone. You cant choose/switch nations. You go right into the game just like in SP.
Is there a way to open a lobby with a savegame or is it a "feature" now? I hope they fix it tomorrow.

Going back to the previous version (patch 2.0 from 2.0.1) fixed the issue for us.
May I ask how many of you are playing and for how long? This problem dates back to the transfer of Imperator to Nakama servers on 1 September. We used to run 30+ player campaigns from the start date to the end date. Since Nakama, we barely made it with 12 players. Now even that isn't possible.

We started out as seven, although only five are left after 127 years.

Thanks for the reply. Yesterday we started as 16 and people started dropping on the fourth year (454). After 10 years, we had only six people left.

We could play with around 12 players in 1.5 and it seems like only 6 or 7 players so far in 2.0

I agree with this. It is abselutely fucking stupid that you just load right back in as your nation, instead of having the option to switch incase your country is a lost cause or you feel like switching. I really dont understand how the devs thought this was a good idea

Paradox needs to cut all ties with Heroic Labs and go back to using whatever system that has proven to work so well for EU4.

They introduced this sub standard, inferior, broken system with Imperator, and we struggled through it as it got worse and worse. Ck3 is unplayable with any kind of community multiplayer, and Imperator has gone backwards with how functional multiplayer is, to the point where right now, with 2.0, it is unplayable. ~

Multiplayer is a big reason that games have legs, it really is, and the decision to stick to Heroic Labs and their goddawful Nakama servers is the reason that CK3 has no multiplayer community and the reason that the Imperator multiplayer community is dying.

This needs solving, and it will not be solved by "fixing" the servers. We need a clean slate, with no Heroic Labs involved whatsoever.
