Hi, CS2 just crashed while saving a game and the save file is corrupted. The file size is much smaller than it should be and when I try to load it nothing happens - no crash - just nothing. I also see a file SaveRecovery[date and time] but it too is small and I can't load it either. I'm paying modded and I know the risks but just checking if there's any other way to restore, otherwise I'm rebuilding several months of game play. My lost city had a pop of 353k and my latest good save had a pop of 303k. The lesson learned is to backup my save games folder.

Once a file has been corrupted there is nothing you can do. Every time you save make sure it's a new file name. I usually have 50 save files going, all numbered and every now and then I delete the older ones. Thankfully they fixed Anarchy in the last 24 hours so corrupted saves should no longer be an issue due to that mod anyway.
