Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
I control the war targets but the war has the "Defender controls war target" modifier.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue


Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

Also having this problem attacking the pope with the de jure casus Belli that takes everything de jure belonging to you. Version 1.5.1.1.

Just want to add - exiting the game and restarting/reloading seems to have fixed the issue straight away - immediately after un-pausing the game recognised the defender no longer controlled the war objectives.

Thanks a bunch. I had the same bug.
It also happened with the De Jure War as casus belli, which you unlock in the late era.

Still having exactly that bug, completely restarting the game and unpausing made me immediately win it
