Changing country names in mid-game without changing the tag

I have a bizarre question for those of you who are sceanrio masters...

Is it possible to change the name of a country in mid-game? I don't mean doing it from the game itself, I mean from within the save game file or the scenario file, and I don't want to change the shield or country tag. The reason I ask is that I am playing the ICG as Denmark, with the "Kalmar Union" option enabled. After putting the Swedes and Norwegians in their place, I considered renaming Denmark to the Union of Calmar, since I have essentially put it back together again. I know I can't just use the KAL tag, since it is reserved for Novogorod as a possible revolter. But can I tie the name "Union of Calmar" to anything with a DAN tag, instead of the name "Denmark"? And can I do it without restarting the game?

I think you should be able to do it. Country names are in \config\text.csv. Search using the country tag - I think that will get you to the right spot. Just change it. You will have to restart EU.

I do not know, Lars. I have another thread where I am asking for the proper spelling of the names invovled, as i have seen it spelled different ways.

That is what I have found.

You can edit the text.csv file (not in excel!!!) anytime and it does change the names in all scenarios and savefiles. This could mean that when you load an old save-file there is a Teutonic-Order vassal named Pommerania consisting of the province courland, and that in the south of France a few provinces revolt to declare independance as Transsylvania. Fun, but not very historical.
Sames goes for shields and flags you overwrite.
