This is to provide a directory of the various mods that are integrated under the Monotheism Rising: The Age of Faith mod. Currently there are three major mods that are integrating into a cohesive whole. Monotheism Rising, Project Augustus, and 935 AD Iranian Intermezzo. Please use the new General Discussion thread to discuss the mod. The older threads are going to be locked, so if you want to continue a discussion from the individual mods please quote the person you are talking to. This thread will be used for the release of new versions and the updates to the mod.

Monotheism Rising: The Age of Faith v0.2


Monotheism Rising's goals are to create an in depth historically accurate play experience. We will be creating new events, adding and altering existing cultures to reflect the historical record for each start, and adding or altering existing religions that will also reflect the historical record. This will include adding to the map like East Africa and the Tarim Basin.

The team's goals are to work together on one specific religion and culture group at a time. This will include changes to how the religions/cultures work through events and decisions custom to them. Other changes will reflect the reality of the world by changing religions and cultures present in the counties. As time progresses each will be given proper treatment and will have diaries to showcase the progress of the mod. I'm proud to say that there is a really good team of coders, researchers, and bug testers to put out a top notch mod. Currently the team consists of starwarsfan451, omega, DingoWally, caocao268, damarrocarion, and myself as coders. Our researchers are Gul Dukat, Athas65 (Hebrew Translator), and BanishTheSpleen. The bug testing group is headed by Zohtun.

We have finally switched over to Dropbox since it's easy to use and allows us to host a version of the mod ourselves. The change from Google Drive was required due to it converting all the txt files over to docx and the csv files to xlsx formats. This created numerous errors with the first release and for that we apologize. Dropbox does not alter the formats and ensures that everyone is kept up to date with the changes.

As soon as we get a bug free integrated version of the mod ready I will post it up on Steam and on here. I once again apologize for the last release being of poor quality. We will try our best to ensure that another release isn't like this last one.
 
Dropbox? If you really have a few downloads, perhaps it can be good. But it runs out of bandwidth pretty fast, and therefor it is unviable for larger mods.

This is a good point. I've always used MediaFire for my manual uploads so we should probably take advantage of that. You can set up folders and share them similar to how you can with Dropbox.
 
A new version of the mod has been published and released through Media Fire. Currently, the Steam Workshop page has been deleted due to it not letting me update the mod. As soon as I can get Steam to accept the new version I will link it in the first post.

v02 fixes the slow down issue that many people have reported and other minor fixes.
 
I only have one minor complaint really, and that is that based on what the thing says, that "If you want all your kohens to be- Levites..." is a bit of a paradox. One has to be a Levite to be a Kohen, it is impossible for it to be otherwise.
 
I do have a minor issue, this probably has nothing to do with any bug but I do seem to have an issue with an extreme lagging issue. I had guessed that this was because of the vast amounts of added titles to the game. Is that correct?

That's being fixed for the next release.

Any characters that are useless (Not historically famous, a ruler, or anyway important really) and were added previously will be pruned.

This mod looks amazing, normally I mod a bit of this stuff in for myself, particularly the Manichaeans, but this is so damn comprehensive! I look forward to playing with this when I have the time.
