Pfft. You generals can have your land wars. But as Chief of Navy, once we take Rotterdam in a peace treaty, I'll get (or at least request) my carrier fleets to fight back the ever-present naval powers.

you might have carriers....3 years from now, i dont think we even have a good naval research team?

Yes we do. We have the Phoenix Dace Design Bureau! I will design all our carriers and then name them after myself, just like Alexander the Great!

Yes we will, possibly we shall see about getting blueprints for them from our possible allies.

@ Jorian: Nice writing, perhaps you could write more in the future?

@ Generals and Admirals: The Minister of Labor has informed me that we may have slight problems with manpower to fulfill our national mobilization plans. That is, we have 75 manpower to work with. This translates easily to 7 inf. divisions and one militia division. Or alternatively 6 inf and 3 militias, or perhaps leave the militia and bolster our divisions with artillery or armored cars! Or maybe we should build that cavalry.
But fear not! We will march into Amsterdam with this army and smash their resistance! We must do what is necessary!

Defintely like our foreign and entertainment minister :)

back to my work as General:

With only 75 MP, we should build (4) CAS to effectively support our ground troops and take pressure from them.

But I leave the exact requested number to our chief of air...

And if we get only 1 SINGLE Bomber I'll be happy to fly it straight (in)to the enemy HQ...

And that Admiral Whysper wants carried using thousands of men and thousands of tons of metal when we can build dozens of subs with the same amount of steel and manpower ! Rha ! What a Flemish ! I'm sure he's not even of proper limburgian ancestry ! But his idea about marines is not bad, that I must concede... Now, let's write to the boss !

Hey boss, here's your sea expert. Just to tell you, why bother with regular infantry and costly aircraft carriers when we don't have enough manpower ? Just build marine infantry, and avoid casualities in the war against the dutchs, and submarines, to have more power with less metal and men than a carrier.

Love,

Your sea expert"

"Maria, bring me some kaas ( cheese ) and take this to the boss, my dear. Thank you !"

How can we train our marines when even our Generals are afraid of getting their socks wet? It takes time to train them to do that! Time is on our side, as long as there's only little of it. We can't afford the Nederlanders to train more of their Legerkorps, they must already smell the wind from the Limburgers and they will be preparing for the inevitable. We must strike while we can.

As the Boss I say we strike before Christmas '36. We should be quick about this! After the initial victory we may once again sit back and lay better battleplans to the table.

For the Greater Limburgia!

Report, No. 1

General, Sir

I find the reports of our lack of manpower trubling. I've, since I learned of it, been doing the math and, frankly, It dosn't look particularly good. Though I do have a suggestion, we should build our forces in serial runs of as many Divisions as practicable to conserve our manpower and allow for the invasion of the Netherlands in July or late August (though, upon further calculations at the time of this writing, maybe November at the latest). What are the ic and MP allocations for the Army, if I may ask.

All of Holland will be home by Christmas.

Agreed, infantry is the priority.

As soon as we get our industry up and running we will see what we can do.

The invasion of Belgium/Netherlands should (nay, must!) be begun ASAP, before the enemy can build up too many forces!

Bryaxis@ yea...im only a Mj Gen...dont flatter me

About the manpower issue, i think they 7Inf/1MIL will work, and prolly by the time we complete that, our MP will allow hopfully for another MIL, unless we just save it to use for reinforcements.

Well, why keep the suspension any longer...

Let it begin!

So, here we are.

The 1st Limburgian Division was naturally formed as soon as independence was declared. Next, our technological advances and the cabinet:

* Technologies (a bit messy, but I didn't want to post a dozen images)
* Ministers and staff
* Production screen

So, as you can see, we have just enough IC for two parallel infantry divs! Hooray! :D This also means that we should have a fighting capability in August or September. We're not technologically advanced but thanks to our Great Leader, a strategic and tactical genious General, we have the blueprint of '36 infantry. So we're pretty modern eh? We have a great cabinet put together and our goverment ideology is LWR as you can see. Currently Lt. Gen. Michaeru is in charge of the entire Limburgian Army.

All is good! And a few days later...

Ah. Finally! This is a great day indeed!

How to proceed?
DAVM shall research modern infantry and while the team's at work, we push out '18 infantry which we may be able to upgrade before our mobilization. When that's finished, as planned, we will train some modern '36 infantry. We should push out as many as possible, and if manpower seems to run out, we should train a division or two of militia to keep the number of divisions high. After all, the Nederlanders are afraid of raging Limburgian hordes more than anything else! :D

Additionally I believe we should start trading with UK to keep our relations up. Just as a precaution. When we declare war on the puny Nederland, we wouldn't want the UK to return us the favor
Ah yes and in the meanwhile, we should also consider approaching the Neds politically - by demanding them to give us what's ours of course. :p

With the acceptance of our esteemed Foreign Minister we shall begin the political endeavours to claim our territories. And if our financial situation allows it...

I think that they will under no circumstances give us our land back but we should try and see if they give us our land back (even though we never really had it). (In gameplay terms, whats the percentage chance that they'll give in to our claims).
