Bug or extremely overpowered feature Ganeshas "Withdrawn in contemplation"

Greetings,

I am talking about what happens after this event: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?784408-Withdrawn-in-contemplation
The +stability event didn't happen only once, but 16 (!!!) times from the starting time until 1480 (in 1 playthrough). I know that is good to celebrate Ganesha, but he seems like the absolute god for everything. Right now I can declare war on everyone and everywhere, since I don't have to care about -stab anymore.
Everyone else experienced this? :eek:

Well the MTTH on the event is 120, so it should trigger ever 10 years or so. Technically it has a 1/120 chance of triggering every month.

Code:
# Sadyojāta (Shiva the Creator)
country_event = {
	id = hindu_events.2
	title = "hindu_events.2.t"
	desc = "hindu_events.2.d"
	picture = RELIGION_eventPicture

	trigger = {
		has_personal_deity = shiva
		has_regency = no
		NOT = { has_ruler_modifier = jnana }
		NOT = { has_ruler_modifier = hindu_withdrawn_contemplation }
		advisor = artist
	}

	mean_time_to_happen = {
		months = 120
	}

First of all, I love your username. Secondly it seems you got lucky with the frequency of the event.

hmm wait -- the trigger for the event needs you to have an artist?

Are those different for each god?

There's a giant ton of events in the Hindu file in the "Events" folder.
I didn't go through all of them, but enough to see that they were essentially the same.

Thank you. Systemjesus was already taken ;-)

But the event happened also sometimes 2 times in the same month. It was so frequent, I can even now count on it (always take -stab hits rather than the other negative effect in a random event). I don't know how to calculate this, but it seems it is easier to win in the lottery if the event happens in about 10 years... maybe a comma is at the wrong place or something like that. Usually I am far behind in power as a third world nation, but thanks to the stability in am even in the top 20.
I looked into the event list, there are other events with shiva. I was always at war, but the other event at wartime never happened (with the inquisitor)

WAIT!!! I think I am talking about this event:

# Ganesha Chaturthi - preparations
country_event = {
id = hindu_events.38
title = "hindu_events.38.t"
desc = "hindu_events.38.d"
picture = RELIGION_eventPicture

trigger = {
has_ruler_modifier = hindu_ganesha
has_ruler_modifier = jnana
is_month = 7
NOT = { is_month = 9 }
}

mean_time_to_happen = {
days = 80
}

option = {
name = "hindu_events.38.a"
add_years_of_income = -0.3
country_event = {
id = hindu_events.39
days = 30
tooltip = "hindu_events.38.a.tt"
}
}

option = {
name = "hindu_events.38.b"
add_prestige = -5
}
}

# Ganesh Chaturthi
country_event = {
id = hindu_events.39
title = "hindu_events.39.t"
desc = "hindu_events.39.d"
picture = RELIGION_eventPicture

is_triggered_only = yes

option = {
name = "hindu_events.39.a"
add_stability = 1
}
}

MTTH is 80 (!) Days (!!!!)
I know hindu ruler needed some love if you compare them to the muslim countries, but this is really powerful!

Shiva is not supposed to trigger stability events. Ganesha and Surya have the stability-boosting festivals after you reach enlightenment with them, however, there is no equivalent for Shiva.

These festivals do trigger too frequently considering the benefits (I made a mistake setting the MTTH), and this will been fixed in the next patch.

Just out of curiosity: what was it changed to?

18 months (about 6-7 times the original MTTH). Still occurs every few years, not as frequently as one would assume from that value, but no longer with the absurd frequency of the current version.
