So basically, I'm playing a Reformed Norse as Kings of Norway, Sweden and Pomerania. The King of Denmark had a crusade declared against him for part of France, I immediately went to assist him. During the war, one of my vassals somehow succeeded in capturing the Pope and imprisoning him. At the time, the warscore was -67 after the Danes decided to send their forces from France to England to put down a rebellion, and left my army to defeat against some 40k Crusaders.
Despite my vassal having captured the Pope, this doesn't affect the warscore. Although I'm not the leader of the alliance, shouldn't the Pope having been captured by one of my vassals count towards the warscore? Even more importantly, shouldn't I as their liege be able to take any important prisoners after paying the required ransom to my vassal? Ultimately the Crusade was lost after I had enough of the Danes constantly abandoning my armies, despite having the Pope being imprisoned for most of the duration of the Crusade.
Tl;dr, why doesn't a vassal imprisoning a captured enemy leader count towards my warscore, and why shouldn't I be allowed to take important prisoners from my vassals?
