Vichy

Playing Germany, after doing everything historically except sharing Slovakia with Hungary i invaded France, conquered Paris and trapped the french army behind the maginot line.

They offer Vichy and I accept and stop the advance. Nothing happens for a few days. Then I resume the offensive and my tanks start rolling towards the Med and the Atlantic, then the game crashes.

Is this a bug with the Vichy event or just bad luck?

The German event directly triggers a french event, what was their reaction?
-> they have a small chance to continue fighting.

As far as I remember there was none. I was waiting for something and nothing happend. Perhaps I missed it.

Dont want to replay since I made no saves

.

Edit: Luxemburg fell before Vichy and I got the Victory parade after Vichy. Perhaps that made some problems?

Save and search the save file for "France went with". You should find the response to Vichy pretty easily.

I couldnt save cause the game crashed and unluckily there was no autosave after the Vichy event.

Guess this will remain an unsolved mystery.
