The concept of reincarnation, cycle of rebirth, and what is called 'Avatars' of people, all originated in Hinduism in the Vedic period, the general mish-mash of cultural ideas and piety that it was in the bronze age. It was kind of 'borrowed' by newer Indian religions like Buddhists and probably Jains too. However, according to PCGamer article, the reincarnation feature is introduced along with Buddhism.
Does this mean that only Buddhists are going to have reincarnation, or Hindus too?
It would be very unrealistic if Hinduism is left out on a feature that they started, while a breakaway technology-themed, supposedly peaceful religion gets it.
