They may take the country just north of Persia when they arrive but when they attack Persia it self the kingdom of Persia in ai hands more often than not crushes the invaders. The invaders should be given more troops to make sure they crush Persia even if its controlled by the player. They even have trouble with local pagans if they ever get organized in that area. They do not even make it to roman empire to attack it like they did in history.

The Seljuks?

Shame they often, in my games atleast, go north to the Pagan Steppe, rather that face Persia.
There was mention of this in the changelogs to make it more common for them to attack Persia, so that seems to be working for us, as for tem winning, maybe if they arrive when there is internal strife vs stability is the "flip of the coin"

The Seljuks come with 40k troops, which doesn't seem bad for the time. Historically, the Seljuks didn't take Isfahan until 1051 so I don't think that their victory over Persia should be a sure thing especially if the Persian Empire is restored.

Even if Persian empire isn't restored their lovely Arab empire neighbor comes to help with at least 20k troops. So I guess I am seeing 2 AI Muslims nations backing each other in their wars as they both tend to marry each other.
