Sorry for asking so many questions lately, but I am very curious about this.
In my Norway game, my venerable badass of a king finally died at like 73 years of age (in a battle, no less... not in his bed!). Well, his son inherited the kingdom and despite judicious bequeathing of monetary gifts and honourary titles, I still ended up in a war with some vassals supporting my beloved brother's claim as the true King of Norway.
Long story short: I won. So why, with 100% warscore, do I have to suffer a net loss of 100 Prestige? (Conditions of peace: lose 200 prestige, vassals leading war are imprisoned, and gain 100 prestige for war contribution).
This seems strange to me. My bro and some lackies declare war on me because he wants the throne, I proceed to completely stomp them, and I lose prestige for it? How would this not gain me prestige?? Can someone explain to me the mechanics behind this?
Thanks!
