Napoleon's Darkest Hour

In the 19th century many nations are left forever weak and unable to colonise.
The British and French colonise most of the world.
These are draft maps not official subject to change.
Any suggestions and help with South America and China are needed.
My history is relatively good in regards to Europe and USA, but I do not know as much about South America and China.
I am looking to divide China to the warlords but was unsure about borders.
South America is incomplete.
Anyone would like to join this project is welcome.

Operation July Fire is the French plan to defeat Prussia, Austria-Hungary, Bavaria and to protect The Poland-Lithuanian Commonwealth by going through the heart of Germany which won't be as heavily defended.

Needed to change most the events already in place to adjust to the story
Need to add units and ministers to Prussia and Poland-Lithuania. attempted but ran into roadblocks.
Did not create Napoleonic India. This will create a sub-continent war.
The Dutch east indies are to be divided between Britain and France.
Colonial units in Africa need to be created so there would be expeditionary wars.
The base war is interesting but the ai for Austria-Hungary need to be change as they don't protect there northern border.
It's pretty easy as France to go through the centre of Germany and capture Vienna and trigger the dissolution of their empire.
In the peace Bavaria remains a puppet of Austria. Need to add military access to the entente in the peace deal. If someone could help me fix these this will make this process go a lot faster as of this point I have yet to teach myself these things and I will eventually.

After a century of a cold war between Britain and France tensions explode over Germany.
In 1870, worsening economic conditions between the German States; Confederation of the Rhine, Kingdom of Prussia, Bavaria caused Prussia to invade the neighbouring German states, in September. Initially, the major powers refused to intervene however after 3 years of a bloody stalemate Prussia attempted to break the stalemate by flanking confederate lines in the north by invading Schleswig-Holstein held by Denmark-Norway. Napoleon the III was outraged by Prussia's blatant violation of Denmark-Norway's neutrality and suggested an international intervention to cause a halt to the violence in Germany. France was to force Confederate forces to stand down, Austria-Hungary was to force Bavaria's surrender and Prussia would face invasion's by Major powers if it did not stand down. This plan was met with instant succuss. The confederacy was occupied by France and became a French puppet again. Austria occupied Bavaria forcing them to become a puppet. Prussian forces were defeated by a joint Danish-French force, 3rd January 1874. Prussia sued for peace the next day. In the international peace summit 3 February 1874, Great Britain announced support of Prussia and Guaranteed the current Prussian borders. This would be inturn met by the continuing occupation of Bavaria and the Confederacy. The peace deal had only one significant change to the borders of Europe Wurtemburg would be annexed by the Confederacy. The peace deal was signed after 22 days of discussions. In June of 1875, Denmark-Norway, France and Napoleonic Spain signed the entente cordial guaranteeing the borders and sovereignty of each nation. This was met by Great Britain signing the Coalition accord with Russia in January 1876. Prussia was greatly alarmed in June 1877 when Poland-Lithuania was officially included in the entente by Denmark-Norway guaranteed their borders (The significance was that in the event Poland-Lithuania was invaded by a foreign power France would come to her aid as she was allied with France since the Napoleonic wars, Denmark-Norway would not be forced by the treaty of 1875 but would be by the 1877 amendment.)

The expansion of entente greatly alarmed Prussia as it was now faced entente members on both sides. They turned to Great Britain for help. Despite objections of Russia, Prussia was included as a protected state in the coalition accord in 1880 (but not a full alliance member).

Italy feared Austro-Hungarian aggression as Austria had always harboured dreams of controlling Venice. Italy was disillusioned with French Imperialism and sought Protection from Great Britain. 1885 Italy became a full alliance member. Austria wanted to protect it's interests in Germany from France and wanted Polish territory over Italian territory (due to Italy's Alliance with Britain).In the spring 1890 the Austro-Hungarian Empire became a full coalition member.

In 1904, Ferdinand Foch devised a Plan to win the war for France in only a few months, in the event of war Italian border garrisons would be reinforced by Austrian forces. France needed to defeat Austria, Italy and Protect Poland Lithuania as well as to support Denmark-Norway on the Scandinavian front. To achieve these goals French Forces would invade Austria-Hungary by invading Bavaria and Prussia and capturing Vienna. This then could force Italy to switch sides (Italy always had been on Good Relations with the Napoleons) Italian forces would be sent to capture Libya. While the bulk of the French Forces focused on Fighting Russia.


In June 1914, The Prussian King was visiting Wurzburg in Bavaria when he is assassinated. The Assassin the Prussian's claim is a Confederate Citizen from the free Germany terrorist group. A group calling for a Unified Germany free from foreign intervention. Prussia demanded an apology, trade rights, compensation and a private Prussian railroad built in the Confederacy for enterprise use. France and the Confederacy were outraged by such demands and immediately refused all demands. Prussia began mobilising on the 1st of July. On the second of July France issued a telegram to Berlin demanding immediate demobilisation, cease all demands and to respond in 3 hours. The Prussian's ignored the telegram. France issued the order to mobilise. Britain issued a similar telegram to France. Napoleon V issued a response stating "DO YOUR WORST" (Famous Last Words huh). Britain thoroughly insulted by the Response declared war on the 3rd of July 1914. Welcome to war to end all wars with big campaigns in Europe, India, the Pacific and Africa.

Bonaparte legacy is alternative history diverting at about 1862-3, this is based on Napoleon the First's Legacy.
I like that suggestion of Bolivia, I did not much of an idea of how to South America more interesting. This mod will try puts a focus on a British v France WW1 and a British choice of the direction of WW2.
