So I am playing as a Duke in the ERE. I am leader of two factions now, an Independence and Lower Crown Authority. I want to leave both, but it won't let me, says ultimatum has been presented. But no ultimatum has been presented. I have the option to do so under intrigue, but I have not presented either, and do not wish to. I had been a part of a faction war in the past (and our faction won), does that have anything to do with it?

the empire is currently at peace and I am conducting no personal wars. I want to end these two factions.

also, since we're talking ERE, the emperor named my character Caesar. other than prestige boost, what else does this do for me, if anything?

thanks in advance.
