How to rotate building objects

Hey guys,
sry for the dumb quesiton. But i find nothing via google or the forum search.
My question is realy simple. How can i rotate objects, wich i wanna build? (i.e. beds)

Edit: I got it, sry: Guys who can read are definitely in advantage.

Click and hold the left mouse button and then pull the mouse in the direction you want the object to face.

Thank you very much, this was so simple!

My dwarves were digging down and not coming back up unless I had ladders which seem to not depend on the direction it faces just that it adjacent to a block.
