I'm playing Gold for mac patched up as far as I think it can be but I'm having the issue of the entire world is allied with each other and every single border dispute becomes a full fledged world war. Is there anyway to work around this. I would have put this in the modding forum as I'm have the issue with both untouched vanilla and RoA, but VP hasn't come through with a forum key for me yet. Any help is appreciated!

This is the infamous "Cascading Alliances" bug that has been fixed in the previous beta patch. If you register your game, you'll have access to the Tech Support forum where the latest beta patch has been posted. That should fix the issue.
Unfortunately I have the mac version so I can't use the betas, I'm gonna try the quick fixes in the mitigating Alliances thread...
