I think that just for the flavour, at dec 21st 2012 there should be a world wide event for the mayan apocalypse, maybe 5% dissent to all countries?

Um...I was actually thinking of making WW3 start on Dec 21 2012 usually, through it might start earlier or later. And start of ww3 will have dissent go high.
However, as a gamer I have a better flavor event. Hint: It's related to the source material of your username(Cmdr. Shepard). It's a bit over the top, but is done to show how far society has fallen in the wake of the economic collapse.
So I'm pretty sure you've heard of the Retake movement that emerged because of the Mass Effect 3 ending. IRL it didn't amount to much outside the gaming community but here.....
The economic collapse has resulted in a emerging "nothing to lose/everything to gain" mentality and because of this, the Mass Effect 3 fiasco is blown into a full-blown gaming protest. IRL the facebook protest stabilized with 67,000 protesters. However, here it goes up to a whopping 250,000 likes on the Retake movement page. In many ways, the youth of my timeline consider games to be an escape with society falling apart, and with one of the best games ruined, they come out in full force.
When Bioware announces the Extended cut(In my timeline, this flavor event happens not long after the Facebook group is formed, instead of during it) full rage is unleashed. A massive protest occurs in PAX East, the BioWare headquarters and on E3.............thousands stage a protest outside of the E3 facility and near EA headquarters. Shouting "Hold the Line!" and "We are Marauder Shields!". EA calls for riot police to come to EA headquarters and E3.
While the EA and BioWare HQ protests were suppressed, the E3 protests were a different story----many people attending E3 come out of the building to stand with them---surrounding the riot police. Eventually this catches the attention of "Anonymous" and in some extreme cases, the media, bringing outrage from sources such Forbes and even CNN and BBC.
Because of this, when considering the possible business ramifications of their decision Bioware makes an important announcement----Bioware is leaving EA, for good, many of the least popular people as well as many former EA employees working in Bioware are fired. and is changing the ending---no extended cut---but a full blown new ending. Because of this, any possible investors for EA leave, and it dissolves.
This inspires similar protests against the equally corrupt gaming publishing company Activision...........which is forced to severely downsize, with many of it's head members fired. causing Blizzard to break off.
This event has the result of making various corporations and bankers in the US shaking in their boots as a result of this. The question that this experience can result for the mod I'm planning is: If people considered "unproductive" to society can form such a protest, what about people that demand change---and in my alt-MDS timeline---the Occupy movement has only gotten more stronger(for mod purposes, it formed not too long after the Tea Party as a leftist alternative to Tea Party and actually gets more organized)
So all in all it's a 5% dissident for US. Not stacking through, as it's one from ending, 1 from EA and 3 from fears from various corporations trying to cling on to what they have in the aftermath of this and seeing if the OWS movement would learn from this.
There, BEST. FLAVOUR. EVENT. EVER. Plus I managed to please A LOT of gamers.
And oh, BTW I'm gonna start working on ministers tomorrow. I'm doing the USA and China for now, as I am more familiar with these two countries. Then I will do Russia, and I hope for others to also work on ministers for nations I don't have much knowledge on.

Bad news. As in freezingly bad. I was testing the map and saw that whenever I went to war the game would be freezing for like 10 seconds, and if an event was supposed to fire while at war, I'd be in the eternal frozen hell. Therefore, we need to cut down the number of countries. And I mean really bad. I would suggest these changes:
This, however, remains to be discussed. Also, there still is some freeziness, but not nearly as bad. I'm not sure how it would behave with a map full of armies, though.
Now for the good news: I've done the Romanian ministers, I'll be next tackling Moldovan and Transnistrean ones.

Actually I didnt think of the ME3 ending as that bad however this is not the place to discuss that matter. What I was more thinking of with the 5% would be that afaik dec 21st 2012 is the most known doomsday in a long while and this would cause fear among the earth population resulting in minor riots in larger cities around the world, people coming to the street smashing store windows and grabbing what they can, forcing the governments to react, send or not send in the police/military and what would this action do to the already ongoing riot? Would it escalade the situation or would the government be able to calm the population

Which ID is the HoG using in your USA.inc file? The Harry Hopkins used in that file has ID 240232, not 240002 (which is the one you set for Cheney). Just change that, and it'll be fine.
@Xie: Could be. I don't know. Try a game as Romania, then DoW on Moldova. Unlike China, Romania has tons of allies trying to help.

And oh, I started the map as Romania and DOWed Russia, still no lag. So I have a feeling it has something to do with your computer.
Also, is this applicable? I've seen some ministers with reverse ideologies so I wonder if I can do this myself.
