The Chilean Republic is happy to finally become more active in the international stage, and would like to know more about the goings on of the past few years.
OOC: Well, basically: Ottomans went trololol on the Balkans and withdrew to Thrace, leaving the whole place in chaos. Bulgaria had chronic backstabbing disorder. Italy wanted free Albania (or a puppet, but I am biased
), but Serbia (me) and Greece invaded and forced them to give it up. Also, Romania decided to just up and join the Central Powers for teh lulz. At the same time, Japan decided to just up and invade Korea. Russia came to Korea's defence (starting the Russo-Japanese War early), causing Germany to make a DoW out of the blue with the pretense of coming to the aid of their Japanese allies (I am unsure of how exactly that all happened, but from what I gather the Germans used a treaty which was signed after the DoW as a justification...or something). Instead of aiding Russia, France sat around doing nothing.
Later on, that war (later called the Three Emperor's War due to how it was started by Russia, Germany, and Japan) expanded to include much of the rest of the world (except for Serbia). It ended rather inconclusively, except for Russia losing quite some valuable land and getting early Bolshevik uprising (somehow, despite the fact that I doubt that the Bolsheviks have much actual support, partly due to the policies and stuff enacted by the so-called "Socialist Tsar"). Also, Japan later rejoined that war on the side of the Allies.
Hmm...oh yeah, China DoWed Russia shortly after Germany. That was just an opportunistic land-grab though, but I think that's what caused France to act against China.
Also, the Austro-Hungarian Empire became the Danubian Federation. They didn't have much problem with the Hungarians...despite the fact that they dismembered Hungary.
So...lots of mad stuff has happened. This is also probably slightly biased.
