You can, although I'm not sure if making a fork is necessarily a good idea when the main developers are still active and accepting help...

Kaiser Franz and Sargeras does most of the minister research in our team, so if you wish to help or coordinate, please contact them.

Edit: On further thought, I decided the another way for you to contribute is to help CDCU since AAR is no longer distributing its own database (ministers, leaders, tech teams) after 1.03 BETA. We have merged our database with DH Full.

Question, is there an alternative path for the Republic of China that doesn't involve going with the Great Empire of China event? I could swear I've played a game where Imperial China never even showed up (in fact, it seemed that China got completely unified and was being ruled by the ruler of Xibei san ma or whatever its called.)

Can't access that page. Do you know anyone who can that I can send my work to from there?

No, but Xibei can choose to intervene (very small chance), and there may be an error with the peace event where Xibei is supposed to return territory...hmmm.

Does anyone happen to have the 1918 AAR savegame downloadable? I seem to have deleted it at some point, and now if I want to play as the Soviets after WWI (but before 1933) I have to play through WWI.

Also, by any chance, should you have Lenin die early on (or go with Trotsky instead of Stalin) are there any follow up special events for the change in events, or are you basically playing with regular vanilla events from that point on?

Right after the war the Ruhr gets occupied, but soon afterwards gets back to Germany. The Ruhr gets occupied again in 1923, after events about not paying war reparations fire. Shouldn't the Ruhr be permantly occupied between 1919 and 1935?

Occupation time is variable in AAR, we aren't going for pure historic simulation. :)

Immortal Generals?

Are generals supposed to live forever?
I've played a UK campaign from 1914 - 1946, and none of my Generals from WW1 have died; John French has been my one and only FM the whole game; IRL he died in 1925 and in 1946 he would be 94 years old!
I have to use these WW1 relics because my 'good' WW2 generals - Monty, Wavell, Alexander, Brooke, etc - haven't been promoted past Mj Gen.
What really sucks is I have no Lt Gen Panzer Leaders for my armoured corps!

Is this how it's supposed to be or maybe I screwed up the install......

Thanks!

The only way to kill a general in 1.02 is via event, which is very time consuming for us to write one for every general.

1.03 has retirement dates, so they will be auto-retired.

I would like to repeat the second part of my post you quoted, as I'm not sure if your response was meant to be for both.

Also, by any chance, should you have Lenin die early on (or go with Trotsky instead of Stalin) are there any follow up special events for the change in events, or are you basically playing with regular vanilla events from that point on? Like, if you choose Trotsky and wage war against central Europe, do you have to annex them to end the war with them or do special events fire after enough time?

That was already answered before so I didn't feel like answering it. It's also since I don't know off the top of my head so Burning should be answering this.

Did you take a look at my ticket I made on the website? Is it doable, or are there not enough provinces to simulate the Rif War(Spanish Morocco is only represented by two provinces)?

Burning is being suspiciously silent again.

Yes I did, but I'm way too busy with RL right now to look up what Rif War is. It's probably doable in some shape or form.

It was? Do you happen to know what page?

Also, the end of WWI save file...that doesn't really look like the historical end of WWI, if anything I have a feeling the CP did better. Am I correct in assuming its just a game as Guatemala set on Exetremely Fast and let to run its course?

Yes.

http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...t-Worldwide-Revolution-An-AAR-Improvement-mod

Can I use this to contribute to this mod? It's a modmod that adds early 20th Century Communist or Radical Socialist ministers for some of the countries that have them at this point.

Through since university starts tomorrow, don't expect me to start working on it for a while.

As long as you use AAR only as an overlay mod and don't post its files on the Paradox-forums(or else the Ban-Hammer might come down again somewhere... I guess you remember...), sure thing! An overlay mod is something where you first install AAR and then copy your changes on top of it. Feel free to do so, but don't simply redistribute AAR, as that makes our life with bug reports and updating VERY hard. Also we would be very greatful if you send us enhancements you did to AAR, so all players can enjoy them.

cheers & much success,
C

I'm still here, never was gone, just had to move around some servers and other things.
