Tom, I took your earlier message to say that you would rather be Atlantic Theater Commander than Chief of the Army -- am I correct?
Yeah, that's correct; I'd like to switch positions and give someone else a chance to run the show. That, and this gives me a chance to actually play D-Day in HoI3, which will be a welcome challenge.
(( I do have hoi 3 and Semper-Fi, but your right for the savegames i'd need FtM, i forgot, so nevermind ))
Fellow,Senators.
I took a trip to Poland these few days and lived the tension in there.I say that not just a war,A GRAND WAR will start very soon
On the bills.
1.Aye on Gear for war.As I said WAR is coming so we MUST be prepared.
2.I request if possible to be responsible of the Atlantic NORTH Army.It sounds weird that I didn't pick a theater but it looks that there is competition on those so why not be an army leader? Also the direction which the Army will go(e.x this Army will attack east Canada) will be decided by the theater commander but the directions of the Corps and Divisions(e.x this Corps will attack Ottawa and that Corps will attack Montreal) will be decided by me.If this is not allowed let me canditate to be Commander of the Atlantic Theater.
Senator,John Sarigis (I-SC)
((Good thing I just got the FTM expansion to play the saves, yay!))
Aye for Gearing up for war. I suggest we pursue overtones of embargo against Germany as soon as possible.
Signed,
Mary Philipps (D-CA)
Honestly, I found FTM disappointing. They removed the reduce neutrality mission, and reduced resource values.Saithis
tyriet, if you do want to be a theater commander, I have no problems with you not having FTM (although you should buy it anyway, it's awesome ). I'll make sure that we have plenty of maps when the war gets started, and that's all you'd really need to order forces to take objectives, etc.
Honestly, I found FTM disappointing. They removed the reduce neutrality mission, and reduced resource values.

To me FTM added good things but also badly removed some things. It is good they added the wargoal system and a nice resistance system but they removed the decrease neutrality mission which for me was a bad decision because I got the game for sandbox but they removed it too
I will also support the appointment of a new Secretary of War, by voting Aye to the proposal!

Is there still a chance of joining in on this? If so I will

The outlawing of the Fascist party and guaranteeing Poland's independence Bill
Fellow Senators,
The last years we have seen the rise of fascism and national-socialism depriving men and women from their basic human rights. Now is the time to take action and let the world know that the U.S.A. is a global political player that will not let the Nazis take whatever they want whenever they want it. This Bill are actually two bills combined. I am seeking the sponsorship from another senator to co-sponsor this bill. This bill may be subject to changes.
First section
All parties or political figures who have any political connection to the Nazi regime in Germany or the Fascist regime in Italy will be banned.
((this bill will be more detailed when I have worked this out with a cosponsor, I'm saying in a more simplified manner what I think should be in the bill))
Second section
In an attempt to further intimidate Nazi-Germany from making any hostile moves, we may intervene when the Germans attack Poland. I'm not saying automatic war, but this will bring diplomatic pressure. This will be in the form of a declaration of independence for the Polish people.

Senator Sinclair,
Are you proposing that, should your bill pass, we actively guarantee the independence of Poland? If you are, Senator Sarigis' concerns may be very well founded.
Secretary of State Cordell Hull
((Partly trying to get a clarification here -- I'm not at all saying that we can't or won't do this, if the votes say we must -- but it would probably disrupt a lot of plans. I will never discourage alt-history stuff, however, unless it's patently impossible because of game mechanics. You will need a co-sponsor, of course.))
EDIT: The first part of your bill is unconstitutional; you can't banish Senators en masse, even for treason. You'd have to impeach each one, individually, first. Banning parties is more of a gray area -- technically, even in this timeline, there's just the two parties and some independents. Even McCarthy never outright banned the Communist Party during the '50s. Please re-write the bill in an appropriate way; for now, you can leave the stuff about banning the party, but not expelling all "political figures."
((I'd like to say that not only it is unconstitutional but it is also some kind of ban to some senators in this interactive AAR from being senators! That is a bit dictarational.))
