Well i would even do the work and edit the files, but i have only got about 5-8 hours to play a week and i don´t wanna mess that up translating a mod ;) at least not atm.
But that would lead me to a further question. Is it possible to change the Game Language? It wouldn´t bother me if my Game was in english.

Open "settings.cfg" in your AoD main directory and change the topmost line to this:
0 #LANGUAGE

Trying 0.98 in the 41 scenario - and despite reading the change log twice and looking at the .db files I still managed to miss the Light Armour brigades! - so a very pleasant surprise when I found them in the production tab :D

GAGA - is there any particular feedback we can give / things to check on??

Well, I am looking for comments on balancing and stability.

And I am of course eager to get new requests and wishes for additional technologies (esp. secret weapons) to fill the remaining gasps in the tech tree and add new features.

Right now I am thinking about reorganizing the air unit path by adding another early model (37 -> 39 -> 41 instead of 37->40) to make the battle for Britain a bit more interesting and I am tinkering around with some HoI1 like direct stat bonuses from techs and doctrines.

So... If there is still a thing you desperatly want for the HoI3 tech tree (and that thing is not hardcoded): Come forth and make your voice heard!

Well, this be a huge under taking, but maybe reorganizing the air doctrines along the lines of CORE2? Some thing also a bit large that some other mod from DD had (I forget which) is to add to all armor/artillery techs small increases to stats for all units. Ex. I research anti-tank guns, and in addition to giving me better brigades, my existing infantry divisions will have .5 better hard attack and so on to take into acount the normal assets any division woulod have being improved.

I thought about this, but in fact the current air doctrine pathes work rather well. A thing to add could be radar combat training, weather equipment and other "special" techs and doctrines.

I have recently dug out good ol' HoI 1 and thought about adding some of it's old techs to the HoI2 tech tree, maybe even create a special MP mod with a HoI1 like tech tree.

Haha - great minds etc etc - I was going to suggest just this (honest :) )

Ideas I would like to see added:
aerial recce - represent specialist units like RAF PRU
ASW radar
Bomber Command's radar-based bombing aids
Pathfinder / target-marking tactics
anything to do with night fighters / tactics

Also proximity fuses - impact on land/sea AA from 44 onwards.

I also posted in the previous Naval bombers thread the idea of having far more aircraft brigades - many of which might address my ideas above. However I realise modifying techs / creating some new ones is another way of doing this.
Like von Sachsen I'm a big CORE fan and like the way they create the linkages between a range of techs / units.
Very happy to assist in any way I can to help make some of this a reality!

As I pointed out in the wish thread, Mountain and Marines did not just pop out of nowhere in 1936. They both were used well before WWI by various countries. I would very much like to see a 1918 model of both of these units. After all, the US had 1 Marine division in 1936 IRL, but it is lost due to the lack of a 1918 Marine model. Might I also request an image of the Infantry techs?

I'm assuming this is compatible witht the patch?
EDIT: Ok, just tested it and it is not. I get UNKOWN STRING WANTED for everything new.

I will probably not add country specific units and/or techs, but the air tech panel has a lot of unused space, so an air-rec doctrine would be reasonable.

ASW radar
I am not sure if is possible from a balance point of view. ASW is already grossly overpowered, even during the early war (at least imo). It's more like the whole ASW system needs some tweaking. Added at lower priority.

Bomber Command's radar-based bombing aids
Pathfinder / target-marking tactics
I think this is already included as components in late war strategic bomber doctrines.

INF has already some night combat techs, air units (and maybe sea units) will follow soon.

This is already part of the last ART tech.

I will look into this, but please keep in mind that there is (afaik) a limited number of brigade models available. Nevertheless, added to list. Would indeed be cool to have a smaller briagade variant of each unit (like "torpedo plane" brigade from NAV you can add to TAC or CAS).

Added to wishlist.

You certainly can, but nothing was added or changed (except for some tech years), so it would look exactly like in vanilla. ;)

I guess it is due to a new "boostertext.csv" that comes with the patch. I have not yet installed 1.03, but will attempt to assure to upgrade the mod asap.

some secret techs:

Nuclear artillery
Basicly the upgraded and more mobile version of railway artillery. Not too good in combat, but a huge bombardment value.

radar planes/ awacs
air brigades that increase detection and organisation. Perhaps they can also increase the positioning of carriers.

I don't think that this would fit so well into the game's timeframe. Although another late war rail ART model should be possible.

Will be part of scouting air techs and/or seperate scout plane brigades.

New item on the wishlist:
Tweak terrain penalties and bonuses for all units.
Although this is not really tech related, I think this will enhance the gameplay quite a bit. :)

Hi Gaga, during these very days I've made an attemp in this direction. First of all I've made NAV not ships-killer but just recon units, able to find enemy ships but not to sink them as easy as it is now. The sinking task is left to some other planes with the air-torpedo brigade. I made a comparison between multirole fighters, CAS and TAC. I forge INT since I that I can't see how a unit not able to attack a unit on the land could attack a unit in the sea. In my opinion CAS shouldn't carry any brigade they already have an awesome surface attack. I'd use it just for multirole and TAC. I still haven't tried the brigade and the NAV I made. I was still wondering how implement the brigade in the tech tree. The last model should come with the secret weapon tech ASM, while the former maybe could depend on NAV techs, but I'm still not sure. I'd put them in the years '38-'40-'43-'49. Furthermore the NAV file attached doesen't have the string for allowing the brigade I've made... it is still a work in progress

Another point that surprised me a little was the huge FGT surface detection.

However I hope that what I'm attaching could help you.

hey Gaga, great mod, I have a question though. While playing as Italy with your mod, I don't get influenced by Germany(or any other country for that matter) anymore. Is this WAD?
