nathanyael,
would suggest uploading a savegame as I'm unable to reproduce the problem.
POLL:
The Russia file is a somewhat important file. Of course it is a very important country today, but I'd like to see that it is built upon a strong base of real people in the world war 2 era. Unfortunately it seems to be largely a fantasy file. In rough terms I have found that:
There are only about 20 real, verifiable and appropriate people in the files
About half a dozen are inappropriate, e. g. Yezhov, who would be dead before Germany got around to releasing Russia.
About another 15 to 20 died before 1936. They will be removed in my mod, period.
Now here's the question: The remainder are unverifiable and there is evidence to suggest that their names were made up--in many cases google searches point exclusively towards paradox, while in other cases it appears that the person was famous for something else and the name was just picked on as a good sounding name. In other cases it looks like a synthetic combination of two names.
Proposal A--leave them in for gameplay reasons but identify them with an asterisk
Example: Feliks Romanovsky-*
Proposal B--delete them but make the existing real ones left occupy several ministries so that there will still be a choice of traits
Example: Felix Yussopov is a real and verifiable minister, assigned to minister of security. He can be given other jobs as well.

I should have no trouble filling the fascist slots with Russian Liberation Army people. They'd only be released in a German victory anyway, so the fact that they were all executed in 1946 is irrelevant.
If anyone can verify any of these suspected fakes as real people, and give a death date (I prefer the exact date but the death year is good enough if you cannot find the exact date) I'd appreciate it.
Vote please A or B.
