pss quick add; under Spycraft tree > Data/Pattern Mining Tech needs to be added. Most current research in surveillance technology revolves around actually withdrawing useful info from the huge amount of data being gathered. #http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_mining#Surveillance , also look up programs as TIA, ADVISE, CAPPS II, MATRIX
Will combine your suggestions plus some of my ideas, anti-hacking and anti-counterfeiting advances into a catch-all 2010 Spycraft tech, which won't do that much intelligence-wise but will give free money.

Cool if its data mining related than it would obviously have research & business applications as well.

only thing missing would be the earlier spycraft techs as I remember images of em from the previous cwe - although I could be wrong on that (last two spy techs are there). If so i can have em np asap.

If you'd care to use the supplied template, PLEASE do not use the burned paper overlay. It should be switched off. I only used it for my "We don't have an image" picture. Your pictures look very cool and if you redo them without the burned right edge I'll use them. There are a lot of images from the previous CWE, and the only thing holding me up from putting them in is checking to see if the tech numbers have changed.

I haven't yet looked at AoD 1.03 so due to issues I'm sticking with 1.02 for now. I'd like to know if anyone has problems, though with using the mod with 1.03.

Shit, knew something would go wrong! The backup image set for the tree got tangled up & I only have about 60% of it to work with. Youll have to give me a few days to redo it, so if you'd care to use this in the meantime than np.

How goes .12 btw? any idea what .13 will entail?
 
Before downloading Cold War / Modern Day Extension v 011 ,did exist a 010 version? I install the 011 version of the mod , it seems that it must have a no limit patch to play.There isn' t this patch in the v 011.

There is no time limit in AoD. If you select the last option for game end, the end date is set by the scenario. So if you want to play past a certain date, you just have to edit the scenario.

Plans? 0.12 out soon! I just got finished with some improved tech detail backgrounds, as the vanilla ones look ugly against the modern pictures. Most of the rest is done. Will still need late stage doctrines for 0.13.

Couple of notes from my recent game:
- The last tech in the escort fighters line (MALD) says Esc Ftr New Model: UNKNOWN STRING WANTED

-Generation 2, 3, and 4 Night Vision are all available for research even though I've only researched Basic and Gen 0.0.

I caught the unknown string wanted but not the improper prerequisites for later night vision. They are fixed in 0.12.

Is this extension savegame compatible? I applied it, and started up my ongoing German campaign, however about a day in, I get a glimpse of an event box called "Mod Testing", and then the game crashes.
 
I'm not sure about savegame compatibility, so I'm going to say "no" and suggest you start a new campaign. The only thing the mod testing screen does is to give you the option of ultra fast research in order to test the tech tree. I will probably scrap that with 0.13.

Sorry if I missed a post on this. I selected the 36 start date. Will it still end in 53? I clicked on the 99 scenario but it has the fantasy countries and was hoping for the normal ones to play.
Anyhow, very nice and I'm excited to see further progress. :)

The 1936 scenario ends in 1954 by default if you use the scenario settings. You can change it to whatever you want by going into the scenarios folder and modifying the 1936 eug file with notepad. Search for endate and find the last endate entry. Change year = 1954 to whatever you want.
 
i downloaded this mod and when i started it after overwriting everything correctley as far as i knowi clicked on the scenario and the abyss/armageddon maps and countrys came up nothing like modern day globe like i said the abyss countrys came up along with abyss techs but no tech teams made since your help would be appreciated thanks
 
1999 has the fantasy countries and is intended for testing purposes. The initial intent was y2k testing. I intend for it to be later on used for combat testing. I'll re-title it to "Eclipse Test Scenario".

There is a file titled "readme_conversion.txt" in the latest edition. It should have enough information to convert the fatherland scenario. Would appreciate you posting a link when you're done. Probably the only issue is getting the techs right. The list is not complete but it should cover anything Germany or any other country should have by 1948.
